General Carowinds discussion

When Cedar Fair purchased the Paramount Parks, which was headquartered in South Charlotte, they were unsure of whether to keep the Cedar Point HQ or take Paramount’s existing space in Charlotte.

I’m sure the Paramount space was more ideal for a HQ rather than having it at a park itself, so why didn’t they stay?

Because Dick Kinzel lived in Ohio. Now that Richard Zimmerman is based out of the Charlotte office, and the company is putting a lot of resources into Carowinds. I would not be very surprised if the headquarters ended up here at some point in the future, especially if North Carolina and Charlotte offered them a lucrative incentive package.

I would love to know how much of the corporate functions are done here in Charlotte now. It's not a large company, so my feeling is that the headquarters is where the CEO is.

Charlotte would likely jump at the chance to have another headquarters relocate here.
