First off I'd like to say a huge thanks to the park for this nice preview night for the Platinum pass holders.
There weren't very many people there and it was so nice...
A short Trip Report for me...
A ended up seeing Forseer at the front gate so we ended up hanging out for the night, as well as many ACErs we kept running into all night.
We went straight to Borg, and we got to the station and waited...and waited. Finally they got one train loaded and half way up the lift, it stalled.
It finally got going again, but after they arrived back in the station they sat (lying down for like 5 minutes while the mechanics worked on the ride).
Then about 5 minutes later they told us to exit the que. Oh well, I figured we wouldn't get a ride that night. But later we came back and got 2 rides on Borg whoottah!!!
So we headed over to Nick Central to the flyers. Peoples reaction (GP) was so hillariou. "Oh no!!! They're getting too close!!! They are going to hit us in line!!!" It was funny. Although it really does look like they measured the thing and said... How close can we get the que and scenery without actually hitting the tubs????
Then we headed to Flying Dutchman's Revenge and we were on in about 15 minutes (after chatting with CoasterMom in line (Hi again Coastermom
))
About half way through our ride it suddenly stopped. I was like, wow that was short. They took a kid off that was apprantley getting sick and then the re-checked our belts/etc and reran it for a full cycle. 1.5 rides...cool!!
We did Scooby Doo... er Fairly Odd Coaster. Same ride, nothing much different except one train is green and has the face of Cosmo (one of the fairies) and the PC logo on the other pink train that represents Wanda (the other fairy). Looks like they've been doing some wood replacement on the lift.
Next... I forget what we did, maybe thats was when we hit Top Gun. Running smooth as ever I thought. I love that thing. It seems to get faster every year.
We came back to the flyers and pretty much finished the night out there, getting 4 total rides for the night. I didn't get snapping down until the last ride. But yes, I too finally snapped!!! (In more ways than one...but that's another thread) Man that is fun! I see why everyone talks about it, it's such a weird sensation. It's almost like you are weightless for about a second.
By far it's probably my favorite flat ride in the park now!!! Great ride!
And we saw plenty of snapping going on, so no problem there. I saw sir Jonathan and his friend getting their snap on before we got on for the last ride of the night.
Nice way to end it for the ACErs to get the final "snap" of the night.
Again, with the exception of the minor hickup on Borg, a great night was had by all.
Thanks PC and hopefully this can become a tradition each year.
