Carowinds will not be sold, nor will the others. If Carowinds is up for sale(again) then Viacom is just plain stupid. The Pavillion is almosted doomed if the city gets its way. Tweetise Railroad's Lease is about to expire, Ghost Town and Jubilee Park have closed their doors. If Pavilion closes then Carowinds would be the only major park left in the Carolinas. You have to remember unlike nearby Georgia, and Tennesse, the Carolinas aren't a major amusement park state(s) for some reason. Only in idiot would sell a major amusement park that is almost unopposed.
http://viacom.com/prodbyunit1.tin?ixBusUnit=42 13 Milllion visitors for all five park back in 2000. Do the math, that number has gone up to atleast 15 million since 2000.
I am back from Carowinds Connection Time-Out!
