General Carowinds discussion

After tinkering with the file a bit I wanted to post and tell you a few things I noticed about the track:

- you did an amazing job with a smooth course and perfect blocking
- the 2nd curvy hill is quite a bit too short, I bumped the y-axis of those nodes up a little over 200 and it rides much more like the official videos
- the airtime hills (particularly the 3rd hill and the 4th following the turnaround) are a tiny bit too pointy, I flattened them out very slightly for a better ride.
-the lift is a few feet short of 232
-there is a headchopper that does not pass the tunnel test. (final dip following the helix)

Great job, hopefully someone can make us an environment and some 3d's prior to the ride opening.

PLEASE take absolutely no offense to this, but I tweaked the track to change the blocking a tiny bit, and fix the bumps/issue I described above.

There are still quite a few issues with the track (jerks on 2nd hill, turnaround, helix, and correct heights for the bunny hills following the turnout to name a few), so have at it guys/gals! Let's make this thing perfect.

If that link doesn't work, let me know.

(NOTE) For those of you that don't own NoLimits... please do not torrent the program. While I have no personal interest in the development, NoLimits is one of the coolest things to happen to the roller coaster community over the years so PLEASE help fund it. It's a very cheap download that even runs on Linux (ask me if you don't know how).

No offense taken at all. I'm happy to see people having fun with it.

Regarding the height of the second hill, I built the ride so that it matched the specifications on the website (though I was off by five feet on the lift!). It flowed more realistically with the improved friction box unchecked, so I stuck with that. But inevitably a statistically accurate version is going to ride differently than it does in real life.
