Yeah, I guess that's true. It's a fantastic business strategy to monopolize the park. I just wish the people at Carowinds weren't that smart!!

I am just glad I can keep using my 4yr old souvenir cup, Atleast it gets refilled with free ice water. I usually stop at bojangles or wendy's right outside the park to keep from eating in th park.

Wouldn't you think if they made the food cheaper they would sell more, you know like the walmart theroy. Or it will always be like the movie theater $12 for a small popcorn that costs $1 to make.

The less you pay for food, the more money you have to waste on games, and the upcharge attractions.

Well...Carowinds offer what the guest like. While I haven't ate in the park in several years due to not going to the park often and staying long enough to eat, I can still say the food at carowinds isn't really that bad. The hidden gems are the all you can eat specials the park offers. I use to really enjoy outter hanks shrimp and their fish sandwiches and the super slab of "birthday" cake the various resturants around the park. I've had worst at sfog...

Dollywood has good food, Cedar Point has good food. Even Kings Island has some decent food. My favorite place to eat the food is Busch Gardens.

Like most people, I try to eat outside the park because of the lack of decent choices at Carowinds. I will give Carowinds one thing...I was impressed with their beer selection at Scarowinds last year. :D
