General Carowinds discussion

Did anyone get to go to this sneek peek? I didnt even know they were having one  Oh well, here is a video from screamscape. Looks really nice. I really need to get to the park, the last time I was there they had just barely started setting up some of the things haha.

Its okay. Its a cool thing to walk through. I'd like to see it expanded to the rest of the park as years go on. I called it Carowinds version of McAdenville.

I guess I should elaborate; this is after all, a milestone for Carowinds, and an honest review for a Carowinds related site (unlike discussion of electronic gadgets, NBA basketball, movie meet-ups, etc.). Rolls eyes.

The media event itself had its glitches - the flies on the food couldn't be helped, (or could they, psst.. charcoal draws flies). The countdown didn't go without a hitch either..

Lights in trees - pretty. Projectile lighting - sure. The bridge (no, not that bridge) is adorned. Even the Country Kitchen sign gets some love. Canned muzak - lots of it and loud. It's sure to please the adults, for a few minutes at least, and there was hint of expansion. But your kids are going to love it. Get the 3D glasses (only if you want to see stars, even where you least expect them).

The cool thing about SSS is that it keeps the park open later for current and future attraction(s). Thanks to the park as usual for going above and beyond with catering and hospitality. Thanks for the light-up lanyard thing.

And thanks to the silent but deadly mod.

I was there last night (despite the crowds - Ugh!). It was actually done up pretty well. My 2 yr old liked it. The only thing it seemed to me was, while i was in the area for about 10-20 min. all the songs started to repeat itself. Seems to me that they need a little longer playlist on the dancing music light show. Overall it was lit-up like xmas. Christmas in july for sure! (SARCASM) Was very bright!

I wish the skytower would of gotten some colored lights.

It would of been neat to see the Charlie Brown Shirt lights at the top like what kings Island has on their Eiffel tower.

Personally I think that looks tacky. The French would be insulted too, just for good measure.

I thought the show was OK i guess, it reminded me of the videos you see of the computer programmer that does the lights to music on his house every year  I thought there would be a little more to it than just lights on the trees. I didnt realize you could get 3D glasses, where in the world do they have them for this? Oh well, nice little addition to the park and I hope I get to take my kids to see it this year.

Last night was the first opportunity I had to see this. My kids enjoyed it and there were numerous other kids that seemed to be enjoying it. I think it is a nice addition to the park.

Last night was the first time I had a chance to see the show. All I have to say is wow! It is a great addition to the park and very well done. Our Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular is so much better than Kings Island's where their lights don't dance to the music and no one cares that it even exist. Our SSS on the other hand in my opinion is the best non Disney show I have ever seen.
