Hey guys, Coasting for Kids is back in full swing. It's on a Sunday this year. So, for you people who work Mon-Fri, here's your big chance. As always, this is not an event that requires a club membership. Everyone can participate. If you want to participate at any of the Cedar Fair Parks, go here and sign up:

http://www.givekidstheworld.org/coastingforkids/

If you hover over the park on the state map, you will see the event details at each park. It's a bit different this year in that you have to put $40 down for registration. But, you more than welcome to get that $40 from donations. In addition to the $40 some parks have a miniamountount of donations needed to participate. We're looking for this to be the biggest year ever. So far we have 69 people who have raised $9,633.

Yes, that should make for a nice weekend. If we are unable to participate is there somewhere we can send donations?

Carowinds details are as follows:

Thunder Road 9:30am to 5pm
Bagged lunch at noon
1st place - Complimentary walk-back and behind-the-scenes tour of Intimidator for 2 people
2nd place - Complimentary night-time behind the scenes tour of Starlight Spectacular for 2 people
3rd place - provided by Give Kids the World

$40 registration plus a minimum of $35 in donations
First 24 registrants will participate

As always, your not obligated to ride the coaster the entire time. Ride as much or as little as you like. Remember this is for charity. It's about the kids not us.

There is no one signed up at Carowinds yet. If you want a non-participant to give to, the PR guy at Cedar Point is taking donations. Believe it or not, he doesn't like to ride coasters. But, he vowed that if his goal is met, he would take a lap on Magnum this year. :-)

If you can't participate but want to donate, please see my page below as I will be participating. Carowinds is way behind most of the other Cedar Fair parks in donations, so help us catch up a little bit. THANKS.

Sidow’s studies rely on the principle that if certain pieces of DNA are solexaretained throughout evolution, they must be important. Things that aren’t conserved by evolution are less likely to be required forillumina sequencing basic functions. “I think the rule is that important stuff stays,” he said.
