Hey guys........its been a "minute" :D since i really posted here.......been traveling abroad and things like that. I know ya missed me :rolleyes: . Anyway i have a question for discussion........................

Last year when i renewed my season pass i was shocked when i was told that they wasnt doing the season pass booklet anymore but instead they will be dishing out the discounts via e mail. I thought that was good for the park so they wouldnt have to dish out anymore money cause how many people really uses the booklet. BUt now in the long run of it I think it sucks!! Not once have i recieved the bring a guest at half price coupon that usually comes in the booklet. Not once have I recieved the bojangles coupon for buy a sandwich and get season fries free. Bottom line is i havent recieved any discounts yet.

I think they should have just stuck with booklet cause like i said I HAVENT RECIEVED ANYTHING YET :angry: !!

So tell me your thoughts............

I meant to post on this a while back but forgot. I get the season passholder email and have never seen a link on there to ANY discounts until the one this past week. That one had $10 off on tickets on May weekends - that was it.

They also aren't doing ANYTHING in the park as far as I can tell. SFOG had a "flash your pass" discount where passholders got a free drink with an entree and fries at all the food stands that I looked at.

This was one thing I loved about the Gold pass. Now, 95% of the reason I bought that was free parking, but the 20-30% discounts also helped. With the discounts I'd grab a meal at Outer Hanks every now and then since it wasn't that much more than Wendy's or KFC after the discount. At full price though I'm not tempted at all to eat inside the park, although I'm sure I will a time or two when I do some full days. Even the passholder discount book had a few things in it that would help, although most of those went unused by me.

I liked getting free parking by renewing last season. For the most part I like the new ERT system. I hate getting NO discounts so far this season. After taking some of the surveys I thought they'd be doing something for discounts, hopefully they will later on. Like Dr. Evil said, "Throw me a frickin bone here!"

I asked about the food coupons that were suppose to be in the e-mail newsletter. You can go up to guest relations and ask them for the latest food coupons that are suppose to be in the email newsletter. I've never noticed any coupons in the newsletters for food discounts. All I've been seeing are the 10.00 off coupons for admission that's been in the last two edition.

Like the rest of you, I really miss the discount on the food. Most of the time we don't eat at the park unless we really get hungry. Usually we're there just long enough to go in, get a few rides, and then leave.

As far as the coupon books go, I never used them. I think I've only used one coupon that I can remember and that was for a buy one get one free waffle cone.

I haven't really noticed that many discounts for the park at all this year other than the Coca-Cola cans thing. The Wendys in my area has discount tickets to SFoG this year instead of Carowinds.

Back When they did offer the discount books everyday I had at least 5 people leave thier Discount Book at the Ride. I did take a couple at the end of the day when no one claimed them. I also did give a couple to ticket Holders if they were having a bad day etc.

Thanks to no discounts on food and drinks we hardly or if never eat at the park. Last year we occasionally would eat at Wings, but this year we just stamp our hands and head over to Wendy's or KFC ( :P makes me hungry). My family hasn't gotten any e-mails yet, and according to what Ken posted the coupons don't sound too interesting. My family constantly look(s) for Bring A Friend For Free coupons since my other side of the family never gets season passes.
