In today's Travel section in the Charlotte Disturber, there was an article that I had been looking forward to seeing since it was announced in last week's edition: a comparasion of BGW and PKD. The PKD portion of the piece compared PKD to Carowinds and asked they question: if they're so similar, why go there? "Speed and G-forces" was the answer. They used HXLC, FOF, and Volcano as the reasons.

Some oddities and nits from the article about PKD:
-FOF evokes Space Mountain (really?)
-"the Grizzly, as wooden coaster that looks like Carowinds Carolina Goldrusher." (It does?)
-"In terms of total thrill rides not geared towards kidlets, PKD packs more than Carowinds: nine coasters in Virginia, six in Carolina." (This is the one I've been trying to figure out.)

Nothing really nitpicky about the BGW part of it.

At the bottom, they compared the three parks. The gut churners from the three parks were: Borg, HXLC, and Alpengeist. It says that PKD and PC don't have live shows just "meet/greet characters."

hmmm lets think about this Magic of the Movies Live and i dont know about gut churners but i dont feel Borg is one compared to Top Gun. Lets see what else Grizzly like Goldrusher hmmm i dont think so. And Kidlet Roller Coasters i think PC get that better than PKD

Lets see the Article is in other words crap i believe

Yeah there were a lot of errors in the article. It was kind of funny.

I still have the article laying next to my bed. It was good for a chuckle. Also, it said what each target group the park was geared towards, and for Carowinds and PKD it said "teens," and for BGW it said "Seniors." I didn't know that BGW was geared toward the 55 and up age group...

I saw this article too. It was pretty interesting to read.
