Re: Myrtle Beach Pavilion's Corkscrew, it's alive and looking well in Colombia.

I second taking a spin (or 20) on the Swamp Fox. If its running well, it can give really good airtime, and its a great coaster. Family Kingdom is a charming park. The mouse is fun, the Carousel is nice, and the dark ride is totally racist.

Thank you everyone for the replies - hopefully I can make it work on one of those dates or one of those two Fridays.

I'm actually going to Myrtle with our school ball team on this trip and my summer 18U team at the end of August, so I will definitely have to get a couple rides in on those coasters.

If I rode it again in Myrtle, would you consider that another credit? I wouldn't think so, since it's the same coaster, but I know different people have different thoughts on credits.

Relocated coasters don't count in my book. Carnival coasters I don't count since it's too complicated.

Spring Break is the week of the 30th here in Mooresville Graded. Iredell/Statesville is the following week, I believe, which would be the same as CMS.

I can't remember if it was last year, or the year before, that we had our break a week apart from CMS, and Carowinds was open the week of CMS break (much to the dismay of my kids). I would guess it would be that way again.

I'm late to the party but I'll throw in my two cents. Swamp Fox is awesome. It's a must do. As previously mentioned, you also should do the dark ride. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions about Myrtle Beach. Unfortunately I have to spend a week there every year for my daughter's nationals so we've done many different activities around there. If you want credits there is also a park in North Myrtle beach that has a couple of credits - OD Pavilion. It's not nearly as nice as Family Kingdom so we only stop if/when they have a new credit.

As previously mentioned, Carowinds usually follows Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools' (CMS) spring break. During early spring their hours are usually 10 AM - 8 PM or 12 PM - 8 PM.
