Anyone know where these things are parked?

I'm fairly sure they are running at Kings Dominion now, but I could be wrong.

I really would like to see the park bring a ride like this back. I personally love driving them anytime I visit parks. The tiny sized ones near Ghoster Coaster definitely don't count.

Both were built by Arrow Dynamics, the ones at Carowinds were Jalopies, the ones at PKD are Antique Touring. I am sure of this as I have a list of rides that Arrow built from 1955(whenever Disneyland's rides were manufacted) to 1988 that I got from Arrow.

What are Jalopies?

Jalopies are an old type of car from the 1920's or 30's, I'm not sure exactly. They were one of the first styles of cars made, and they were usually hunks of junk, or at least they were in The Grapes of Wrath... They're basically the norm style for the old-fashioned antique car rides where you drive the car around the track.

Model Ts, to be more specific.

They were removed when White Water Falls was built, and WWF also uses the old station as a que house.

Carowinds has had a history of Car Rides. You can't forget about the Carolina Turnpike Speedway Cars which were not removed to long ago, just over a decade.

I Like antique cars, particularly when they have a nicely landscpaed course. The ones at BGW have a good setting, and the ones at SFOG did have a nice course until they moved them up to Carousel Hill when Georgia Cyclone was built.

If the world were made of Sugar, Carowinds would buy some of the new antique cars from Chance. They run on electricity and don't need as much care to work properly, plus you don't have the spell of gasoline. (However that does add character to the old Arrow ones!)

CarowindsZone, Arrow used to have a list of all the rides they've manufactured on there website. I'm not sure if it is there now since S&S took over, but there were some pretty interesting ones. They've nearly built every ride you'll find at an amusement park at some point in time!

Here's a picture from Mr. Rutherford's excellent website:

The train had two stations?

There were actually Three Railroad Stations:

One In Plantation Square(Paramount Plaza), under the foot bridge, Another in Country Crossroads(Carolina RFD), which was exactly where the White Water Falls loading station is now, and a final one in Frontier Outpost(Blue Ridge Junction/Carolina Boardwalk), which is still standing as a jewlery shop or something.

The train was used as a transportation system and stopped at all stations to load and unload passengers, in the same ways the Walt Disney World Railroad and Busch Gardens Railway work.
