Are they usually really crowded? We're thinking about going to the one on Sunday. Just wanted to know what to expect ;)

I was wondering how much the crowds increase as well. I will either go this Sunday or next, but the Bring a Friend has scared me away from this one. If it does not affect the park that much, then maybe...

We went to Carowinds yesterday and I had forgotten that it was BAF day.
(We don't have platinum passes so we couldn't bring a friend.) It was very crowded. The lines to everything were so long. It's been a while since I've seen the Goldrusher line halfway down the walkway leading up to it. It was like a busy Saturday. It didn't look like there were that many cars in the parking lot though. I guess everyone packed all their friends in their cars. I was nice walking around and we watched the karaoke show and the folks doing the skyflyer and we found some Jimmy Neutron stuff on sale that we bought for my son. Beautiful weather too.

I'm not a passholder yet either, but don't they get to park in a different area from everyone else? Maybe since this was a passholder event, a lot more of the cars were parked in the passholder section? Just a guess... I didn't go btw. Looks like I made a good decision. I am going to hold out until October, so my son can do the Nick-or-Trick events.

Well I was in park yesterday and I must say I dont think the peak season is over. Lines for everything, including thunder road. It was also another day at the park for some other day at the park so im guessing that added to the count.

Gotta question for you guys.....why is it that every other ride op hates WWF and frenzoid?

Carowindsman what was up with the screaming girl on top gun's lift. I saw you walk up the lift to her.

Wow!

You give people free admission and they all show up!

The entire Platinum lot was full by 12:00 when we arrived. Yikes!

We had to park all the way down PAST the tunnel on Thunder Road!

I haven't seen the parking lot that full in ages.

But the weird thing is lines weren't too bad long.

But the ride ops were on downers or something. I have never seen them so slow this year!

Carolina Cylone had a small line, but it took forever because they kept messing around.

What a fun day we had. lol Actually we did have fun a friend and his wife came to ride Borg for the first time and they liked it.

So overall a good time just a little weird how all the coaster ops were slow.

I swear most of us was at the park yesterday! Should have had a meet up.

It was crowded! I really didn't know what to expect as far as attendance for the BAF day.

I met some friends from out of town there. We hit the park right when it first opened up and went straight to BorgAssinine. Got trampled on by a group running to get in line. More power and advil to 'em! We got caught up in the station during that first breakdown that happened to Borg. It felt like it took at least 45 minutes to get it up and running.

Thunder Road! Two trains on the forward side and one on the backward. The other one must have been out for maintenance. It was running really well.

Saw Frenziod and WWF working!

Got 1440 on Scooby and that was the highest that I've ever gotten.

Didnt stay long. Because my headache was starting to get worse, I got out of there.

Yeah getting runned over will have that effect.

Weird thing about yesterday is that Ricochet broke down!

I was like, Richochet? I don't think I've ever seen it break down.

It came up about 30 minutes later, but they had people stuck on the track for at least 10 minutes (stuck on the various brake runs) about 2 trains that is.

Yeah, I was there too. I don't know if I've just gotten lucky before, but that was the most crowded day that I've been.

My friend said it was a busy day there.
