I decided to make this thread to share the wild and crazy rumors that we have heard past and present. I havent really heard much but after my trip yesterday I was talking to a ride op and she was saying that she **thinks** that frenziod and the bumper cars were being remove for something but she didnt know. She also said that she heard something about a waterpark expansion....

Well last year there were stories floating around that B&M (builders of Top Gun and Vortex) had been on the island and had been looking at the park.

Which started rumours that we were getting a B&M flyer.

Of course we got a Vekoma flyer. lol

There's also a 3 or so year old rumor that there is a Morgan Hyper coaster coming to Carowinds and one of the drops would go right under the walkway bridge in the front of the park.

Lord knows I've heard a lot of wild stuff in my time. Back when I tried to maintain a coaster site on a regular basis, I got emails all the time about stuff that was coming to the park. I've heard hyper, floorless, all kinds of flats, etc.

Actually, my favourite rumour that I heard was the reason why Paramount was fixing up the park and remodeling sections of it: they were going to sell it to Cedar Fair! Imagine that.

Actually, BGWF, that whole thread last summer over on Tr.. er Thrill Network that got started because of the Queen City Boi post about the yearly plans for the park, was pretty outrageous. There was serious crap in that thread!

Its so funny that I still get asked about the park is getting next year and honestly, I really don't know. I can only speculate like the rest of you. I was at the park yesterday and I could see potential areas for flats and redevelopment of certain areas. I even tried to look behind the fence in Animation Station and didn't see really anything going on. I like to be surprised like everybody else!

Last year we had the rumors about Frenzoid and White Water Falls both being demolished.

I've heard this year by my friend theat they were going to repaint frenzoid and put in a hyper/giga coaster for next year.

Now I think it is Roast beef.

I heard about a Schlitterbahn type water coaster coming with BB next year. Please Please Please!!!!!!!! The master blaster is awesome.

Then there was the one about 6 years ago that they were going to take out vortex because somebody died on it and put an invert there instead. We got an invert, but they didn't tear down vortex.

My favorite one happened this year at the Coaster Event when one of the Coaster Enthusiasts said he heard that we were going to get a 4d Coaster i looked at him and laughed
