General Carowinds discussion
#76988
Carowinds tweeted this about a month ago. If you were in charge, how would you set up the event?

I would set the schedule up like this:

5:00 - 5:30- Check in
5:30- head over to Dinosaurs Alive to set up camp. BTW, my idea is camping with the dinosaurs.
6:00- Head over to Carowinds Grove for BBQ dinner. I considered Harmony Hall, but then the event wouldn't really have a camp-y feel.
7:00 night long ERT on Fury325, Hurler, and Drop Tower.
10:00- head over to Dinos Alive to sleep.

8:00- Wake up call
8:30- Breakfast at Harmony Hall (I know, I said no Harmony Hall earlier)
9:30- Morning ERT on Intimidator, Afterburn, Gliders, and Thunder Road.
11:30- Pack up belongings at Dinos Alive
12:30 Clear out the park.

[EDIT] I added Gliders to morning ERT.

Ah man I love camping!! $200 though!? I realize it's Carowinds but dang, I've only camped at sites that were $10-25 per night. They don't even have an option for season pass holders as far as I can tell ): I do feel like this event will be more GP/casual fans than enthusiasts though.

As fun as that much ERT sounds, I doubt you'd get much sleep with that many people confined to a small space that the park provides. There's going to be that one guy who thinks he's hilarious for yelling out during the night while others are tying to get some rest.

Jarvis said he didn't have camping gear....

I did it at Cedar Point last year it was actually cool with the nice breeze at night off of the lake. Now here at Carowinds? Ummm yea the humidity and warm night temps will drive me insane. I cant sleep feeling sticky and wet for no reason lol

Let see Camping with a boat load of Coaster Enthusiast in a small area. That is easy for that would be a HUGE H*LL NO! Talk about all the fun and stimulating coaster nerd talk that will be going on. Yea makes it a bigger HECK NO.

Actually, from looking at the park's Facebook page, a lot more of the GP seems interested in the event. I'd look into this but I'm all Carowinds'd out from the Coaster Classic. I just hope they give a nod to 2016's attraction like CP did with Camp Rou.
