Carowinds needs better Restaurants, expecially some sit-down ones, like what they have at Disney. The best restaurant now is Wings, and that's not saying much.

Well, if the rumors about the boat were true, then we loss our only chance of getting a new cafe on the water.

I think the food has come a long way, and is much better now. I think each year it's going to get progressively better. I agree with the sit-down restaurant. That would be a nice addition.

The food at Stan Mikitas was actually pretty decent this year. Can't say much about the cleanliness of the dining area, but the food wasn't as greasy.

Wings and Country Kitchen are normally my choices for food when I'm at the park. Both are normally very clean and in a nice setting. Casey's Grill was pretty decent too, but it was demolished when they built Ricochet.

I Would personally like for Carowinds to try putting some local dishes in there resturants, similar to what Dollywood does. Carowinds is in the Southeastern United States, which is known for exotic home-cooking. I Think it would be very nice to have some less commercial foods and try with more unusual dining.

But, I really don't consider the food a major factor in the park expierence. I normally just load up on Funnel Cakes and Dippin Dots when I'm at the park anyway, beacuse that's what the park wants you to do. :)

I wouldn't know about the restaurants there; I haven't gotten food from one since 1997!

Most of the food is frozen, I haven't had more than a Fry in years.

I always get at least a Sprite and some Fries with my kids getting Dippin' Dots or a Funnel Cake. We will, on occasion, eat at either Wings or Sunset Cafe.
If any of you took some of the surveys this year there were several questions about food and restaurants and the menu. It would be great for them to get a couple nicer places to eat with a little atmosphere.
If any of you have been to Islands of Adventure and ate in the restaurants that had cartoons all over them or ate over by Jurassic Park you know what I am talking about. Most of Carowinds eateries are walk thru and eat outside which I would like to see change.

I would agree Carowinds needs some new eateries, and a nice place to just eat a good meal and relax, with a good atmosphere as well. I really like going to Wings, and I eat there everytime I go to the park, if I'm eating inside that day. It has a decent atmoshpere and I just like the food. I don't think I've ever been to the park when Stan Mikita's was open, and I was under the impression that it was closed, but perhaps my mind has lapsed.

While its rare that we eat at the park, its usually Wings for us. The food isn't that bad if you can catch it as soon as it comes off the grill. Plus, its got the fountain so you can get refills on your drinks. Outer Hanks really hasn't impressed me. Its nice to see something different (fish) at the park, its just not for me. Haven't ate at the Country Kitchen in years. Subway, I don't eat outside the park so I'm not going to eat it at the park. Stan Mikitas is the only place I really avoid. I've never liked the food there. The rest of the places just don't reach out and grab me. I do like the selection of drinks in the NickToons cafe.
