I know why the booths are there I just think there is a better way to do it. I was there this year for an educational day on Friday along with my Son's senior class and I know how packed it gets entering the park. To me there has got to be a better way to get people into the park while adding a little "tease" at the booths then a "WOW" between the booths and entrance.
If there was not a Carolina Boardwalk section you would not know it was a Carolina park. I still think redoing the water park to a Carolina Beach theme would be the best way to go to retain some Carolina theme. After all the Carolinas are better known for the beaches than thrill rides.
New tech in the Saturator? Well, it may be a first but I really see nothing "new tech" just some refitting so it can get wet.
New tech in Borg? Well, it is a hand me down and not new for Carowinds. What I mean by "new" is something built soley for Carowinds that is 100% NEW and not 3 year old new and transferred.
Like in one of the surveys they asked about a MTV themed coaster. All I can say is PKI and PKD better watch out or thier Flight of Fear might end up here with a new theme. Think about this, besides Top Gun when was the last all new and original attraction built here?
All I am saying is we need to get our arse in gear or Carowinds will always be a local park at best.

Carowinds was not built to be a thrill park, it was built to basically to mock Walt Disney's Disneyland. The basic concepts were the same, an amusement park with lots of beauty, that parents could take their kids with several themed areas. But where Disneyland is themed to Disney Movies and Shows, Carowinds is themed to the Carolinas. We do get new technology, it is called the Saturator, and BORG. Keep in mind that not many parks in our area have flying coasters. And there is only two Inverted Waterplay coasters in the world. The Hydra Fighter was removed in 2004.
