I wonder if Cedar Fair is expecting the new coaster to drive Carowinds into the 3 million range in terms of attendance. We have to be close by now, right? CF's projected attendance for the park after the initial $50 million investment was 2.5 million, and it's become crystal clear that the park has greatly exceeded those numbers. So maybe this puts Carowinds around 2.7-2.8 million currently? I think Project Alpha pushes the park into that 3 million range with Knott's, Wonderland, CP & KI.

It’s hard finding specific numbers but it looks like the park crossed 2 mill in 2015. 3 mill seems like a stretch in just four years even with the slight bump from Winterfest. Will the park be 50% busier in 2019 than 2015, the year we added Fury?

I know many people who have never owned a Season Pass or have been to Carowinds rarely, And they want to get one this summer. I wonder if that’s the same with others. Judging that the Charlotte area is a very fast growing population center adding many families with kids who want to go to Carowinds, I wouldn’t be surprised if we passed the 3 Million mark soon.

Keep in mind the park has also extended hours outside of just Winterfest. Heck they’re open Thursdays this time of year now.

I know some people that don't have kids who are having the "I'll go if I go" attitude this year. They're looking at other places to have new experiences. Since there's really nothing new to have a huge enticement, I doubt we'll see a spike in any demographic other than families with kids.

If alpha is a new coaster, I would expect a BIG bump next year.
