I'm surprised no one noticed them putting the strollers in. They were all out in the plaza a couple hours ago. Now they are all nice and tidy behind the shop.

Yeah, when I was leaving there were two large trucks with furniture and such so I'm guessing that the strollers were also in them.

So which is better?

For me at first Cedar Point's gate was my favorite however now that I have had the opportunity to walk thru ours, I'm in love with it. The only thing is the fact the I love how CP's LED banner stretches across the whole gate, however ours have more architectural aesthetics that are pleasing to the eye and the stone (or look alike) is so much more pleasing than the modern style gate CP have. I just can't wait for the arbor vines to grow in. I just do wish some more big trees were in the area but again once the arbors grow and cover the trellis, there's your shade.

I borrowed your photo Axel.

They are both pretty fugly to me... they might be efficient, easy to maintain, etc., but their shed style looks like it belongs on a car wash/oil change/car repair building  CPs impresses with Gatekeeper going through the pillars... Carowinds does a similar thing via the Fury bridge.

Nope, they don't hold a candle to the Plantation House... they are too basic, utilitarian, minimalist pieces of steel.

But I don't go to either park to be impressed by their entrance gate... we can leave the expensive grand theming to the Disney Parks.

Objectively, I honestly can't decide which one I like better. Gatekeeper's keyholes over the Cedar Point entrance are fantastic and really make the entrance very unique. But, our entrance looks like more time was spent on the architecture and overall appearance. Plus, the Cedar Point entrance looks a little bland while ours really seems to fit the southern feel that Carowinds has. Overall, I love them both and think they both look very good and are very unique when compared to the entrances of other parks.

Not sure if this has been covered, but I know the Skytower was closed the entire '14 season. Will it be operational this season? I hope so. It was always my tradition to ride it first when I enter the park. I felt like something was missing last season.

It is still at the top and not running today.

I am probably going to sound paranoid when I say this but did Carowinds just say "forget the security measures at the entrance of the park." I am not super worried about anything happening but at the same time, there are those people out there that like to terrorize others. Does anyone know if they will put in any security measures at the entrance of the park?

Disney World doesn't have metal detectors. If they think it's OK, I'm sure Cedar Fair is just fine.

The Skytower will run this season, just not at opening. Probably later in April. The parts they were waiting on we're delayed at the port when they arrived.

Do you say that about every other place you go in your daily life that doesn't force you through security screening?

I regret not riding Nighthawk because that line was EMPTY. At least compared to its usual wait time. Also, FL is going to be a good investment for those wanting to ride Fury325.
