I doubt they would move the Dodgems, plus no survey markers have appeared around them. Could the big splash be water park and water ride expansion.

I am still in the Soak City camp, but that ride looks awesome!

huh, when did Soak City become a ride?

Meaning that Boomerang Bay will become Soak City, as far as what new slides/pools/rides it will bring, my guesses would only be based on the other CF parks.

I sincerely hope carowinds is searous about the carolina theme aspect of the park and don't go generic with soak city. Its other water paris in the chain with different names so why are you sop sure they will change carowinds? To be that clock that's right twice a day?

Windseeker....
Whitewater Country....
Waterworks....
However I do note that there has been no annoucement of Splash Works at Canada's Wonderland changing. I have been wrong before, but in 10 years how many people are going to remember the nameof Fury comes from history. Thunder Road opened with a theme, now it is pretty much just a name, Same goes for Hurler.

If the name ends up being anything other than Wildwater Kingdom or Soak City, I will happily eat crow.

Food for thought - What if WhiteWater Falls isn't removed at all and the water park expands around it thus incorporating WWF into the waterpark? Other parks have those type of things in a waterpark and it IS a water attraction afterall. It doesn't appear to have any maintenance issues and the manufacturer is still making them so parts shouldn't be hard to come by. No need in removing something that is popular when there isn't anything wrong with it remaining.

If Kookaburra Bay and the mini golf were removed, they would make a nice large area for a slide complex and a water coaster that would still include WWF. Something like this:

I kinda of doubt it would become water park only but stranger things have happened. Actually at one point, Saturator was listed as part of WaterWorks but remained opened the entire season.

Who made Diamond Falls at KD and the shoot the chutes that Six Flags removed from various parks?

Next question, are the ones with double drops much different than WWF?

^^I was just saying that yesterday! I've been on two different "not so lazy" rivers, and I thought they were great! The one at Atlantis in the Bahamas was almost too intense at some points (well...that's the mom in me...it was intense for my kids, the thrill seeker in me would've loved it had the kids not been there...) I would love to see something like that added.

I've never been on one of those but I remember the little tiny circular thing at Emerald Pointe that you went on with life jackets was one of my favorite rides there, so I think I would love it.

To celebrate Thunder Road's 40th birthday, I would like to see the railings painted yellow again and a new lighting package on the ride. I'd also like to see the ride get its original sign back. From the early years website:
In addition to Thunder Road's celebration, I'd like to see the county fair get a minor upgrade and have some of the buildings repainted red, light brown, or light yellow to create that 'fair' theme. Dodgems and Yoyo should be painted to match the atmosphere.

I heard TR was having a splash break installed where it gets rough near the end of the ride...oh and the trains were being re-built so the lap bars are mounted at the top and not the knee area to eliminate injuries. Nah never heard it, just thought it would be kool.
