Well, that is actually impossible because Drop Zone did not exist in '95.

Perhaps it was closed on the days of your visit? Or maybe you just never actually saw it operate so you assumed it was closed.

This is my first post here! I am saddened that another peice of Carowind's Early History is gone! :( The Sternwheeler will be missed! I also noticed that the Garden Clock which I thought had been bulldozed years ago was still there! But was bulldozed and disposed of with the Sternwheeler! :( Smurf Island was in bad shape and to be honest I'm not that upset about it's demise! They could've kept the island though, we'll just have to see what it looks like when finished! I still miss White Lightning! I really loved riding it! I can't understand Paramounts disregard for the Parks History! Cedar Point & Kennywood seem to be able to Upgrade and add attractions to their parks without eliminating it's early history! Someone did make a good point though...Those who aren't upset at the changes at Carowinds are 20 something! That's cool though, everyone entitled to their opinions, but they never saw the early Carowinds that those of us that are 30- 40 something saw and grew to love! It is becoming like every other park now! :(
