General Carowinds discussion

This will not be a top 10, 25 or maybe even 50 type coaster in any world rankings. It's not even going to be the best at Carowinds, possibly not even second best.

Has anyone claimed this will be the best, or even second best coaster in the park? I've been seeing anywhere from 3rd to 5th best in the park. I think expectations are about right. I'm still very much excited to try it. :D

I was worried too, I saw that image and thought it was Copperhead Strike that had the accident, but it was windseeker. I am very sad about what actually happened, but I was super frightened that Copperhead Strike would be delayed! Turns out I misread.

Look, I'm not bashing the ride but expectations for this coaster need to be put in perspective. I think it will be super fun, have some thrilling elements and overall it will be a hit. However, after watching the POV and testing videos this is not the Maverick of the south. It is not on par with many of the top coasters in the world.

I applaud Carowinds for what they came up with because not every ride has to be a world record breaker to be successful. They knew what the park needed and delivered. Just don't expect this to be on the same level as some of the worlds best, don't set your expectations too high and just enjoy it for what it is.

You're thinking like an enthusiast and measuring a ride solely on it's intensity. I-305 is not a great ride, it's an extremely intense ride. The only people who rate it highly are enthusiast. Fury is a more complete experience, rated highly enthusiast and the general public.

I'm not thinking like an enthusiast, I'm trying to get others not to think like an enthusiast. My whole point was just enjoy the ride and don't get caught up in rankings.
