I wouldn't mind waiting 6 or 7+ years for another coaster that's fleshed out and all around great. Sidebar, I think the next coaster the park does get will cater to the 42-44" crowd as the park has only two coaster they can ride.

Also, the park is exploiting their Carolina ties and heritage so I don't know how a jungle theme could fit into that.

Out of curiosity, what do you think the park would install to cater to that demographic? I definitely see that it could be an addition to Camp Snoopy, I'm just not up on what the manufacturers have on offer these days.

Mack is the first company that comes to mind for me. Cedar Fair is working with them (obviously), so something like Cobra’s Curse would be pretty awesome for the park.

you got me sold on that one, chief. I've been on Cobra's curse and it's pretty cool. carowinds should eventually have something like that.

If I had my way, it would not be in camp snoopy as I don't like it when parks lump all their kids stuff in one area. As far as what type of coaster, it's really hard to say because Cedar Fair seems to have astronomical height restrictions for one ride that another park chain will have at a much more liberal restriction. However these are some things I wouldn't mind . . .

Vekoma family racing shuttle. Something that is unique, onride and off ride appealing, and good capacity.

Or the classic Vekoma extended roller skater. Although it is the sit down version of kiddy hawk, people will see it as a different ride all together.

OR . . . the standard Vekoma shuttle coaster.

I do want the next coaster (or set of coasters) to be a racing attraction, so I'd love the Vekoma. It just seems like Cedar Fair hasn't worked with them in a while (though they probably will eventually).

Amusement Insiders should have just stuck to Canada’s Wonderland, they barely know what they are talking about there. I consider Amusement Insiders like the RollerBee of YouTube.

Some fool that has opinions but most of the time doesn’t know what he is talking about.

One of those, plus some kind of a Farris wheel, would compliment the Carousel and make for a nice family-focused area over there.

Woodstock Express at Cedar Point, Hang Ten at Freestyle Music Park and Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom; all not rough as hell for me.

Expedition Everest is the smoothest Vekoma I've ever been on. Freedom Fighter is excellent as well as a Family Suspended...as will Dragon Flier at Dollywood when it opens. Woodstock Express was smooth...as are most of the Roller Skater types coasters they build. Of course those are all family style coasters. I didn't find Firehawk or Invertigo at KI bad either. The newer Vekomas are supposed to be great. I'd love for some of those to get built over here in the US.

One of my favorite rides is Rock 'n' Roller Coaster which to me is not rough.

I would like to see another dueling family boomerang. However, cedar fair and vekoma don't go together that well. They never work with them anymore, and they might try and close all of their vekomas. It just depends if we can get a next-generation vekoma coaster in the united states soon, like the ones going to china.

What do you mean they don’t go together well? They haven’t purchased a lot of rides from Vekoma outside of kiddy coasters, but newer Vekoma rides aren’t crap like older ones.

Cedar Fair wants their major attractions to be custom, one-of-a-kind creations that use the space available in the best possible fashion. Vekoma is primarily in the business of selling off-the-shelf designs and do a very limited amount of custom work, unlike their major competitors. It really isn't more complicated than that.

Vekoma will make whatever a park wants. As will any company. You do realize that parks put their coasters (and other rides) out to bid, and that various companies come in with proposals, right?

Regardless of what Vekoma did in the past, the company that was recently purchased by Sansei wasn’t the company that mostly made clones and Disney rides.

It’s as simple as that...

I know that Vekoma has significantly improved in recent years, but a Next Gen. Vekoma has not even been close to coming to the U.S. yet. it's just now spreading from europe to china. I doubt we'll see a new vekoma launch/bermuda blitz come to the U.S. until the mid 2020's
