There has always been someone at the gate at C3, but I've always had a pass, so I didn't have to pay for parking anyway. I'm almost positive somebody will be at the gate to direct us where to park, but not necessarily take any money.

Should you arrive a bit late, there will be a registration table up at North gate to guide you to your destination. If you are leaving and coming back, just keep your lanyard to be sure where to go when you get back.

Hey Dani, can you define a bit late? I am thinking about purchasing a ticket but I have to go play crime analyst until 1pm or so. Would I be able to attend just the afternoon and evening activities?

ERT is Exclusive Ride Time in enthusiast circles, and Early Ride Time in theme park operational circles (ERT/LRT=early and late). I ended up sticking with ERT for you guys on both fronts.
Registration to receive your gift and your lanyard will be at a Registration Tent outside of Guest Services from 7am-12:30pm. If you arrive later than that, you will need to go to Guest Services (and will clearly miss the meal, Q&A, and Carowinds Museum) to receive your lanyard and to register for your free gift.

I was at the park yesterday, and thought another amazing person for the ERTs would be Justin from Drop Tower. He's always hilarious. If you don't know, he's usually the guy who sings.
