:wtf:
I agree with Edwardo. I wonder if there is a way to use the Mansion's second floor, maybe a vertical lift and drop section.

While I don't see this happening, I wonder if you could put new trains on Flying Ace similar to Kvasten at Gröna Lund. If they did a Planet Snoopy expansion, they could probably sneak it in there.

The old Harmony Hall building, which Boo Blasters is currently using, does not really have a second floor. I was the Master Electrician for the last show in that building, Graveyard Shift 2000, and the only second floor that the building really has is in the back of the theater, which is the front of the building when looking from the outside. The small second floor area is essentially above the old lobby, where you currently enter and exit Boo Blasters. (That was actually where my office was located.) The only way to have a second floor throughout the building would be to add it, which would be crazy expensive, if at all possible.

How much of the building does the ride take up? I never went in Harmony Hall prior to it being Haunted Mansion. Was the floor like Carowinds Theater(sloped)? Was any of the building added for the Scooby remodel?

That's pretty much how it is for the thing at Knott's. I'd love for this Carolina Marketplace thing to be modeled after the one in Charleston. Maybe a few extra restaurants added to the sides.

That's kinda how it is at knotts. Their market place is pretty much on the road. You can be dropped off or drive to the parking lot. Its also pretty much right at the entrance of the park. You get a max of 3 hours free, so if you're just coming for the market place you'd have plenty of time for it. The plan above makes the Knotts plan kinda hard to maneuver being it is smack dab in the parking lot.

Many of us talk about new coasters we'd like to see added, but for me, improving our current coaster collection is just as important as adding great new rides. The purpose of this thread is to highlight how you think each coaster at Carowinds could be improved in order to maximize its potential as a ride. I know a lot of you will say that the best way to improve some of our rides is to demolish them ( ), but for the purposes of this thread, I'm going to assume that we'd be keeping all of our coasters.

Afterburn: Track and supports would be repainted once again with the same color scheme, only a much more thorough job would be done this time. Additionally, the mist in the tunnel would always stay on when the coaster is operating (as long as the weather is warm enough).

Carolina Cobra: Both the track and supports would be repainted, but the color scheme would remain the same.

Carolina Cyclone: Color scheme would be changed to deep maroon with golden supports, and new trains similar to Carolina Cobra’s would be added. Cyclone would receive a new name and theme as well.

Carolina Goldrusher: More landscaping would be added throughout the ride, and adjustments would be made to the trains to make the ride experience more comfortable.

Flying Ace Aerial Chase: Trains would be replaced with ones that are more comfortable.

Fury 325: Trees would be planted throughout the ride’s course.

Hurler: GCI would continue to retrack the entire ride, the trim brake would be removed, and the trains would be replaced. The coaster would also be renamed and rethemed.

Intimidator: Coaster would be repainted (same color scheme), and the second trim brake would be removed (if safe to do so).

Lucy’s Crabbie Cabbie: No changes necessary.

Nighthawk: Coaster would be repainted (same color track, but supports would become a darker blue). The pond beneath it would be expanded, and more landscaping would be added throughout the ride. Trains would be replaced to ones that better improve capacity.

Ricochet: No changes necessary.

Vortex: Would be converted to a floorless coaster. It would receive a repaint (orange track, deep purple supports) and be rethemed and renamed. Additionally, enhancements would be added throughout the ride (a tunnel covering part of the upward helix, more trees, and water elements from Nighthawk’s pond [which would be expanded beneath parts of Vortex]) to make the ride experience feel more complete.

Woodstock Express: Trains would be replaced to ones that better fit adults.

Afterburn- Turn it into Raptor :P
Carolina Cobra- Melt it down into parts for a new washing machine OR replace its wheels every week to keep it from getting rough
Carolina Cyclone- Paint entire track yellow. Yes, it would look like Nighthawk but I'll get to that later.
Carolina Goldrusher- Get Vekoma to install new trains with a lower height requirement and a new sensor system.
Flying Ace- Add new trains similar to the ones in Kvasten at Gröna Lund.
Fury325- Pretty much just more trees, maybe heavy mist during SCarowinds but I don't know if the track would rust too quickly like Hulk.
Hurler- Ghostrider treatment, more trees, take the trash can off of the station, paint it blue with "Carolina Car Shop" painted on the side, theme it to some 60's era car. Basically discount Lightning Rod.
Intimidator- To be honest, the trims aren't too bad so definitely a paint job.
Lucy's Crabbie Cabbie- Headrests.
Nighthawk- Send to Valleyfair rapped under a bow with a tag on it that says "FU," paint red and white, place it where Dinosaurs Alive is and have it as their front gate coaster, call it "Falcon: Bird of Prey."
Ricochet- VR headsets. It's actually the one coaster in the park I wouldn't mind it on.
Vortex- Floorless conversion, paint it the same colors as Griffon, call it "Puma," retheme showplace to a Blue Ridge Mountain theme.
Woodstock Express- Remove the sign at the top because it isn't Fairly Odd Coaster anymore.

I was thinking about putting my suggestions into the wishlist thread, but I thought this specific idea deserved its own topic.

EDIT: Guess not. Oh well...

The longest wood coaster is well over 5,300 feet and a 670 mile per hour power tower? What are you on?
