But has it really? This is, like, only the 5th public operating day of the season. To say its been down more than it's been up kind of a stretch. Once it gets to lightning rod and infinity falls status then yea, complain away but yeah . . . it's a new, complex ride. Give it a min to work out all the kinks.

It may or may not open today, but the fact that there’s staff at the ride gives me hope. It seems like they at least intend to open it.

[Edit] Train in the station w/ lapbars up. Also, one of the trains has been stuck on the second launch all day, so I’m guessing it could be a sensor issue with the second launch but idk.

I'm just venting. I live 1 1/2 hours from the park and this is our first trip this year so for it to be down all day stinks.

Do you guys remember the media circus everytime fury went down? I rarely hear about it going down now but when it first opened it had issues. So I suspect it could be sensor issues here and may take time to sort out

I think Fury was more appealing as a news story because it got stuck on the gigantic, 325 foot lift. Copperhead Strike being dormant is nothing compared to that, at least from the perspective of a media outlet.

[EDIT] Left and ride Fury and Hurler. Train is still stuck on the second launch. I doubt it will open today.

On the bright side, the airtime on Hurler is really good this year! I hope they don’t put the trim back on, though I know they probably will, but the airtime is legitimately stronger than Intimidator’s.

In case anyone is still at the park, I just saw Copperhead cycle from Fury. Headed my way over to see if it’s open!

[EDIT] It’s testing, but it stopped on the second launch again.

I am also at the park. I just had my final meal and am about to head out. It’s unfortunate they could not get it running today. I would like to think they’ll spend these next 4 days trying to figure something out.

They’ll get it all worked out, new attractions and launchers in particular experience downtime. Everything else at the park seemed to be running well today. Blue Ridge Kitchen had the Copperhead sauce out today which was nice, something that was missing when I was there last week.

On a lighter note last night while in Copperhead’s queue I noticed one of the mechanic/garage theming was styled to look like snakes, which I thought was cool and hadn’t seen it until now:
