yep! it bounces up and down. Like a frog hopper on steriods. How can anyone who has been to dollywood (and allegedly ridden lightning rod) NOT know there is one there. its smack dab in the middle of the country fair . . .

For some of y'all that is the big boy drop tower. For me, the Carowinds Drop Tower is the sissy tower; bring on the 400 feet towers!

Honestly, for me the Drop Tower is fine as it is. I've never had the opportunity to ride a taller version, but I'm not sure if I would, even as thrill-seeking as I am. :shh:

The only two towers I have been on is ours at Carowinds and Acrophobia at SFOG. I really enjoy ours the way it is. I just wish it would get a good repaint and maybe a led package.

I've been on a lot of them. From the first gen intamin freefall to Falcons fury to lex Luther and drop zone is my favorite.

Don't understand why you people want a taller drop tower. From my experience the taller you go the more boring it is. Zumanjaro had a great view but the drop was nothing special at all. Ours is one of the best I've ridden.

I agree 95% with you. I think we have the 2nd best drop tower. Any park that has a 140 foot ARM/Larson tower (Lake Winnie, for example) beats our drop tower any day of the week, in my opinion. Have you experienced them? What do you think about the Larson Super Shot towers?
