he was in it but got there before his partner and someone came in right behind him and took his spot. Im sure his partner got the "I was dissapointed in you that you got here late but now im very happy with the fact..." speech.

Yea whoever that guy was irritated me during the speech. I turned to my friend and said "Wow... that was quite the string of backhanded compliments!" Why he chose to come up and disrespect the amazing people who put on the event made no sense to me, but it didn't keep me from enjoying my day. Besides the rACE (which was a good idea, but was ruined by cheaters and heat), I had an absolute blast. The flyer ERT was downright frightening, and I look forward to seeing the video.

EXCELLENT QUALITY PHOTO...

sorry, I had to shout that. Thanks for the hi-res version Jonathan.

Here is a quick video clip of the group photo. I don't have the ftp space for the better quality version.

LOL! You so crazy!

p.s. I watched your Carowinds portion of your DVD and loved it! Good work there. I loved the POV's!

Although the Thunder Road section messed up, but I think that's my player that is 4 years old or older.

Awww man and the Thunder Road was really cool. AC/DC thunderstruck and some very rarely, if never before seen shots of TR life couldnt get any better. But there is still hope, I did include TR in the extended coaster section of the DVD so better luck then.

BTW, how do you feel about the way it was filmed as far as the format, the song choice, the originality of it, and if you had never been to carowinds after seeing the DVD would you be interested in attending? Just asking so I know how to film in the future.

HOW YA FEELIN??? .... HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!!

Well, another C3 has passed and it was as great as ever! The people, the food, the ERT, it was all great! PS - If you missed the C3 Breakfast, you missed a great time with some really friendly and fun people.

First of all, I want to thank Scott and the staff, Max, Robert and the rest for the great job they all did putting together this event. If it weren't for their time, energy and tenacity, we would not be raving about having such a great time.

The ERT selections were really good. Hurler was performing especially well giving out loads of air. TG was running as awesome as ever and the flyers were fun as usual. I was really enjoying the evening ERT session. I got some great footage of the "insane" flying! :P

The Q&A and video during our evening meet in the theatre was really great (especially the air conditioning :D ). I think a launched, wooden hyper under the bridge with a loop is in order for next year!

I have to say that I agree with everyone else about the time of year. The heat was intense, to say the least, and made it tough through the middle of the day.
Thanks to everyone for making this years event so fun. It's great that we can have our event devoid of the usual political jabber that goes on.

Hey Max, next year, balloons man.... balloons! :) Video is coming....

To EVERYONE.... WHOOTAH!

I saw about 20 seconds of Thunder Road enough to realize it was AC/DC's Thunderstruck and I was jammin' with my surround sound cranked up and then it messed up on me! grrrrrrrr <_<

But it's probably not you, it's my lovely old DVD player. As soon as my car is paid off and some bills are paid I'm probably going to get a new DVD player and put that one in the bedroom. lol

**

I like the format a lot. If I had never been to the park I think it would have definetley peaked my interest in the park. Especially when you see how nice the park looks compared to say a SFKK or SFA. lol

The music choices were great! I am very eclectic in my music listening. If it's good music, I'll listen to about anything. I mostly listen to late 70s/all 80s music as well as Christian music. I'm a hair band fan, so AC/DC was a great choice IMO. If I ever show you guys any of my vidoes get ready for some retro music for sure!

I was so tired yesterday that I didn't watch the other vids but I'll do that at some point.

I haven't even watch but a few seconds of Alan's vids! lol This is one of the coolest things about ACE is sharing videos and such with each other. I love coaster videos, and free ones are even better!

Yesterday I was at the park most of the day.

I got some inside info on Hurler.

The guy there said that he thinks they are putting a new "hybrid" wood on the top layer of the track now and that's probably what's making it a lot smoother now.

Also of note: The trimless top of Ricochet was NOT a fluke for C3!

It was running insanely fast up there yesterday and giving some of the best rides ever!

Man, Carowinds just keeps getting better and better!

Now wouldn't that be interesting. Let's hope he didn't hear that from the Dip-N-Dot guy..

I hate I missed the trimless Ricochet. Maybe the fine folks at Carowinds went to Hersheypark to see how a real Wild Mouse should run.

Not true.

I haven't ridden it much this year, but the previous years the top section was: turn, brake, turn, brake, turn, brake. You hit every single trim brake even with only 1 person in the car!

I've ridden it quite a bit, and I can't recall any of the trims on the top section ever being on, except for the one before the turn over the station. I thought it seemed to be running the same as usual, as well.
