The Carowinds Atmosphere and the Paramount's Carowinds Atmosphere are two very different looks. The only area of Carowinds that remains largely Carowinds is the area between Nick Central, Scooby, and Top Gun. The Scooby-Doo Barn area to be exact. I have to disagree here. I think there is a lot of the park that is still Carowinds. Sure the front plaza got a spruce up. I've always felt they took a cue from IOA in some of their ideas for the remodeling. Its very modern and deco-ish.

I really don't have a prob with the County Fair area like some people do. Maybe do something to the old swings area. Use it for a flat ride or the station house for a coaster in the parking lot area. Could happen. You never know...

I think the only area of the park that really needs a make over is the Thrill Zone area. Its just so...bland. I do think that the CAROLINA Boardwalk was a nice step in recognizing the Carolinas at the park (and this was done by Paramount). I only wish that they had extended it to include the Thrill Zone area. It would have been neat to have a boardwalk down the bath to the Hurler.

I can't say that I really hate anything that Paramount has done. But, its no reason to run them into the ground.
