Thank you Ken. This madness has to stop! Seaside parks will be a thing of the past before long.
I talked with Donnie Sipes, FK GM, quite extensively (by phone & in person) when planning the ACE event back in Sept '06.
He is not only preparing for a surge in business this summer, he is
expecting a surge in business. I hope he is right.
He says the owners of FK have no plans to sell the park anytime soon. He even told me they hoping to add more rides and another coaster within the next 5 years. That sounds good to me.

I think more than ever, the owners of FK realize they now have a monopoly in Myrtle Beach. The only ocean front amusement park.
Who Knows, maybe the owners of FK will even clean it up to suit the visual appeal of these deranged people that think it's a dump. It still kills me to hear people say that. It's not suppose to be Disney or Busch park!!! OK, I'll stop.....
Anyway, ya'll know about my passionate love affair with the Swamp Fox, so obviously I will defend this little park forever, til the end. It's more sentimental than anything. And I don't care what anybody says, but rounding that 180 after the lift hill, and looking out over the ocean just before the plunge is simply awe-inspiring! I'll be doing that til whoever goes first, me or swampy.
BTW, I am working with Donnie for an event in '07. Tentively set for Sept 9, the day after C3, so this will be another prime opportunity to show any support we can. More on that later.
