^ I dunno. It could be an Intamin hyper. And isn't the Canadian Goliath a bit on the short side? Yeah, just looked it up, it's 174 feet tall with a 170 foot drop. Technically I think it's considered a "junior hyper" since it fits the style, but doesn't break the 200 foot mark.
True, that would be somewhat semantical if the distinction is manufacturer and / or height. Remember, PR people have given us "the South's only flying coaster" at SFOG and "the Carolinas' first flying coaster - with 8 inversions!" at Carowinds so calling an Intamin that breaks the 200 foot mark the "only one of it's kind in Canada" doesn't seem far-fetched.
From what I've seen on the CW fansite forums, signs definitely point to an Intamin ride with a decent footprint. Of course like the folks here who think every bit of orange paint means "TEH HYPER under teh bridge!!!!111!!!" some have gone a bit overboard, and think they're building something bigger than Millennium Force. I doubt it. It may not even be a hyper, it could be a larger Maverick.
They do have teaser stuff up in the park about the announcement saying it's BIG. Too bad we haven't seen anything like that here, nor have we seen any construction. Of course I imagine you have to start early on a ride in Canada. Still it'd be nice to have a date for our announcement and some hints.
