 Haha fortunately my family is huge I'm one out of 8 kids alone and my mother is one out of 10 dad's one out 7 grandparents all four are one out of 14 11 5 and 12. New York based my family have flocked to all corners of the USA Canda and the UK for military college or job purposes so they all live like an hour or two away from majority cedar fair and 6flags parks in the US and other parks in Europe lol. I just plan trips and drag my buddies with me or I do solo and drag my cousins with me.

SC-to-NC wrote:Anyone purchase the Dining pass for 2015 yet? I went ahead and renewed gold for my family and got dining passes. I'm not sure about the quantity or quality of food under this plan but it was cheap enough I figured I would roll the dice. I don't normally eat at Carowinds--I live less than 4 miles from the park so I visit very frequently (about 25 visits this year so far). I figured even if it's just a drink for everyone and something small, I will still get my money's worth over the course of the season. I wanted to see if many other folks are going to go with the dining plan as well as opinions on this option.

We already have Platinum passes, but we won that fundraiser auction for the passes and all, so it appears we will use the Gold Dining Pass (assuming that we can use that in conjunction with a platinum pass). It should be great to test out - even if we live 4 or so hours away!

That blog post makes it seem like it was definitively announced by CF that it would cover all parks. But I don't know how reliable that source is.

What is the cost difference for platinum vs platinum with dining? I bought the gold pass with dining, but may do platinum with dining next year and try to get a few new parks in.

The difference is 114. I had no pass last year and found myself at 4 parks (carowinds, kings island, cedar point and knotts) last year lol...so I think im gonna go ahead and get one and the food option...

Give it a go... we are testing it out at Carowinds this year, and we are thinking about looking into it at SFOG for comparison purposes... it's worth a shot, right? Now, if only Carowinds and CF would follow Six Flags in their all-season unlimited drinks bottle :-)

I did it! For the first time in forever I am a cedar fair pass holder! Now I have access to 20 theme parks and 8 separate gated water parks...

Taken directly from the Carowinds website for the All-Season Dining - Platinum Pass Add-On page, "Get 1 lunch and 1 dinner every time you visit the park with your Season Pass! This Platinum All Season Dining Plan is available for use at all Cedar Fair Parks.

Valid any day a Cedar Fair Park is open to the public for regular operation during the 2015 season."

Wow, we're going to have to look real hard at going with Platinum passes again in the near future - with the dining plan.

I'm gonna do the dining plan. With gas prices dropping and the park less than an hour away with a brand new coaster, I think I'll be spends plenty of Friday and Saturday evenings there.

Outside of events, getting a group of enthusiasts (outside of a small group of friends) together for park trips sounds far more fun that it really is.
