I got to come back home over Easter and on that Sat. I went to Carowinds and got on one of the first trains out of the station. I then went and rode Top Gun and then got my season pass. I then returned that evening with my buddy to get more rides in on Borg, but found it to be closed. However, we watched it for a few min. and we got lucky, they started running it with only one train, and we were on I think like the second the train out when it opened back up.

Comments about the ride...It is a good ride, I really enjoy it. The best parts are when you first flip over and the loop. I will say that I enjoyed the B&M flyer more. The Vekoma flyer had a lot of vibrations, which didn't take away from the ride at all, and wasn't uncomfortable, however, it's like riding in a Kia and then riding in a Rolls Royce. You notice a difference. Overall, though, I am very pleased with the coaster.

I gave up keeping count of how many times I rode coasters years ago. I've learned to just go ride the coaster and have fun in the process. Its not like you're going to win a contest or something or going for a world's record.

My Borg count is probably close to 30 but I got those on the commercial and photo shoots. I probably won't ride it again unless the line is really short or there's an ERT session (season pass holders or maybe a certain event this summer....hmmm).

I know, it isn't how many times you ride it. ;) It is about the times you enjoy the feel of the coaster and the fun you are having :D ... Espacelly with a friend! :D

The only thing I count these days is how many coasters I've been on, and I haven't even done that lately. It's somewhere around 80, which isn't as much as some but not too bad.

I never kept an accurate count, but had a rough idea of how many times I rode Top Gun the during 2001 and part of 2002. I'd remember at the end of the day I rode it X number of times, and add that to my previous rough estimate. When it got above 250 or so I stopped even doing that. I know I'm well over 500 flights, with probably near that number of Hurler and Thunder Road rides. I tend to go when I can get LOTS of rerides :D (ERT and / or Sunday mornings).

BORG is probably around 22-25 rides, with 16 or so on the photo shoot day and some more on most of the days I've been there, but not all. I'll probably add to that total a bit when they start up ERT on it this weekend, since I can't see riding Vortex or the flume TOO many times, may as well wait in line for BORG.

I'm guessing we'll get 2, maybe 3 rides if we're lucky during ERT based on how many people have been hitting the park for ERT. BORG and the new ERT system are doing their job bringing folks in, as TG is often sending out 2 full trains during ERT this year when last year there was often only a line for the front seat many Sundays. I figure quite a few people will be there for BORG ERT. The bad news is we'll have to go on a crowded Saturday to get TG ERT, but I imagine lines will still be short for the first hour or so as everyone mobs BORG and TG.
