They just got those scooters, brand new, a year or so ago, and they're no where near the Boomerang Bay area.. why in the heck would they remove them and send them here? Although I personally would have no problem with that :D screw high tech boring flats when we can get some old skool no tech flats that are 10x the fun.

And seriously.. how many parks have offially announced what they're getting for next year... Dorney, SFGAm, PKI, PCW, PGA.. (Sure we know what some other parks are getting, such as PKD, SFGAd, SDC, but have little to virtually no details on those)I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just as long as they announce before March right? :P

Let me add my two cents here: The park was to have announced their 2005 plans before now but due to "themeing" and other issues, it hasn't. When you see the season pass mailer, you should have a pretty good idea of what's coming next year. Please, just be patient! So your're admitting to know the 2005 attraction? The vultures are swirling...

We have the guesses, it is just a matter of narrowing to one or two.

No, I don't know what the 2005 additions are. I didn't say that in my response. All I said and this was also mentioned at C3, that the plan was to reveal the 2005 plans before the event. Then, themeing issues came up and it was tentatively scheduled to be announced before Labor Day (with the season pass mailer one of the sources for info for next year.) As for right now, I don't know when the plans will be announced.

I don't bug people at the park about what they're getting in the future (and a certain ex-PR guy can testify to that fact.) I like to be surprised like everybody else.

Flying scooters! Yeah!!!!!

I'd rather have a thrill ride, but if we got something next year that would be cool.

I love the ones at PKD (the eagles or whatever it's called).

It's a nice relaxing flat ride that is much needed by the park with no flats, Carowinds. :) lol j/k

As all of you will probably crawl thru my cable lines and choke me I would love to see Animation Station leveled and new attractions added. The attractions that are there re-seated in different areas of the newly formed section. Also open up the path somehow from the Road Rally so it does not dead end there. Maybe have it go between Scooby Doo Coaster and Soundstage Picnic area or the picnic area and Top Gun.

Actually I agree with you to an extent.

My thought on it is that Carowinds has kid stuff all spread out all over the place.

If the funds were there, I would relocate Super Saturator to Nick Central, and rethemed Animation Station and Zoom Zone (do we really need 3 kids areas?) and make it all Nick Central.

Maybe have one section all spongebob themed, one all Fairly Odd Parents, etc.

I think having Super Saturator over by the water park is just silly. It's like, why is there a Nick themed ride way over there?

I liked the Nick Car Wash idea on the survey, but of course I'd like the coaster more, but I know a lot of people bring their small kids to the park.

Well since FSS was added several years before nick central I dont look at it that way. I mean yeah, it is a little outta place but im sure the park wasnt thinking about added nick central back then. Now a suggestion would be to retheme FSS to something carolina-ish so the "coaster preservation" would have something to hold on to!

Yeah we could call it Carolina Tidalwave. he he

I know why it's there and all that , it's just I was thinking if I was a first time park guest I would be sratching my head going, huh???

That is a good idea though to retheme it to either the Carolina Boardwalk, or just include it in Boomerang Bay 06 ;)

I also liked to be surprised but I would like to know "where" they are improving. Like it was said at C3 there were 4 main areas that needed work so I'll just keep running the fantasy game thru my head. :P

Does anybody remember what Mr. Kaetzel said during his talk in the Paramount Theatre? I heard something about increasing capacity in the water park and something about the kids area. I know he said that Delirium was a huge hit at PKI. I was back and forth and didn't get to hear a lot of it.

He seemed to hint at the following:

An overhaul of County Fair
" of the water park (I think)
Possible addition of a giant frisbee (Delirium) (I think).

Forseer correct me if I'm wrong. I've slept too many times since then. lol

I remember he said County Fair wasn't where they wanted it, nor was the kids area, that they needed to add more to Nick Central and that they needed to add capacity to the waterpark. When someone mentioned adding restrooms to the south gate, he seemed to imply that it might not be there too much longer - at least that's what it sounded like to me.

The Delerium thing was somewhat of a tease, where he asked how many of us had ridden it - then said we're NOT getting one of those.

So in the next 5 years or so, I'd look for waterpark additions and possibly a Boomerang Bay retheme, an overhaul of County Fair and Animation Station, more rides in Nick Central, and possibly removal or modifications of the south gate. I'd guess that we'll get some kind of large flat ride, with Delerium being popular at PKI and PKD getting the Tomb Raider top spin.

My personal guess is that for the next major expansion, the parking lot would have to be reconfigured and that they'd use the parking lot beside Thunder Road to add rides and a new themed area, OR use it to expand the waterpark by going under TR. If it's a new area, they'd almost have to close the south gate or move it to provide access - there's not really anywhere for pathways there as the south gate, Action F/X theater and TR are all wedged pretty tightly together there. Then of course they have the old campground site. With all the admin and maintenance buildings where they are it'd be hard to add anything there other than a waterpark expansion. I could see that by them moving the employee parking over to the campground area and maybe rerouting the road there.

Now - what, if any, of that will happen next year? I have no clue, although I'm sure it won't be one of my major expansion scenarios - I think we'll see that coming. Knowing where would probably help - if County Fair, I'd bet on getting some kind of flat. The waterpark of course would be some slides. Animation Station would likely be frog hopper type rides. Nick Central could be most anything, although I'd guess some flat rides that were more family / older kid oriented than what AS would get.

One thing I'd definitely like to see in 2005 - full season ERT! In years past I'd probably be at the park right now riding Top Gun, but with the new Platinum program they don't have any ERT the last several months so I'm not as likely to head to the park early on Sunday mornings. I know other season passholders that feel the same way, so if they count us each time we visit in their attendance numbers they're missing out on several visits they would've gotten in previous years
