As much as I would love it to be PKI's or PKD's, it probably isn't. I'm going t reserve my excitement, because I have a feeling that flying scooters in Animation Station would not exactly be run very fast.

Finally got mine today.. here is the panel in question. (The rest is standard season pass garb)

That is obviously PKI's Scooters, and while I would *LOVE* for Carowinds to get them, it would be a very bad move for PKI to remove such a popular ride.

I also appears to be hinting at NO more Hanna-Barbera. :o :(
However, it says "A complete make-over of Animation Station PLUS the addition of two ALL NEw rides." Therefore, they may not be for AS.

What's the point of making over Animation Station if you're not going to add new stuff to it? It would be pointless to just redo the area and NOT add anything to it. I think the wording in the flyer makes it fairly clear that the rides are for Animation Station.

Next year, its time for the kids to have their fun. We had ours with Borg this year. Remember, families bring in the money and we've gotta keep them happy.

The flyer seems to be a little confusing. Its saying that animation station is getting a make over w/ 2 new rides, but at the same time its hinting that its gonna be a 20 acre playground, more than a douzen nicktoons and 14 rides.

So 2 assumptions can me made:
1.) animation station is gonna fuse into one huge nick central and things are gonna be renamed.

2.) animation station is gonna get a make over and not be fused with nick central!

Boy we had less speculation over BORG ***!!

I doubt the Hanna Barbera stuff will be removed completely (If at all). I don't see them renaming Scooby Doo's Ghoster Coaster or anything that extreme. I think the less popular HB character themes should be replaced.

A few years ago ('99?) Kings Island actually updated it's HB theming.

Two new rides? Dollywood is adding eight. :)

This just in: The flyer says, Two ALL NEW rides, 20 acre playground, and 14 rides.
Two all new rides, I get however there is 14 rides in NC,AS,and ZZ. So one ride will be removed or one of the two new rides will not be part of the AS makeover.
Anyone know about the 20 acre playground? Does this emcompass ZZ,AS, and NC?

Well that's what I thought might be happening, considering that they had PKI's pictured in the brochure they just sent us.

Is that ride really 70 years old? I read that somewhere on that other forum.

I hate it for PKI, but I wonder if they are removing it to make space for Italian Job?

I dont think the actual ride is 70 years old just the type of ride.

I feel like this, when a park states that they dont know what they are gonna do w/ a ride just remember that they must have strong thoughts of removing it.

Yes, the ride is 70 years old. It was relocated from Coney Island in 1972 to Kings Islands with several other rides.
