Actually <a href='http://www.carowindsconnection.com/community/index.php?act=ST&f=2&t=681&hl=&view=findpost&p=8539=' target='_blank'>This</a> is what I said.........
Now the long awaited post.......
I would enhance the park experience quite a bit. I dont mean by adding rides or things of that nature but things that make people remember the park for the experience and not just the rides.
In paramount's plaza would have random characters "look-a-likes" from various paramount movies and shows patrol the area and interact with the guest. Put more movie type props around the area and more fun photo spots around. I would construct a sit down, indoor resturant focus around the past and present of paramount (CBS cafe is good, dont get me wrong, but those out door places make me feel rushed). Also theme RRR to a paramount movie, Yeah you know which one
!
Nick Central would be the "sweet" spot of the park because people seem to enjoy areas like that more (just my opinion). I would give it more of a cartoonish feel and have a particular soundtrack playing ***side bar** Actually in all the areas of the park there will be particular soundtracks complimenting that particular area**, something more bubblely and kid friendly. I would set up official (not like what they have now) meet and greet areas specific to that brand of character. For example: near the exit of wild thornberry's I would set up something like an out post for a meet and greet of those characters and near RRR set up something a giant play pin or some oversized furniture for a meet and greet for the rugrats OR
set up a half-pipe w/ a "larger than life" skateboard (stationary or course!) near rocket power for a meet and greet with those characters. I would also employ 2 shows in a **modified** indoor theater rotating every hour and a half. I would also set up some "interactive" areas that can keep the little ones amused (no playground though lol lol) Oh yeah and keep the grounds painter, but instead this time use they type of paint that is for traffic (hey it works for IOA! B) )
Carolina RFD, well I would pratically leave it the way it is but give it a touch of southern hospitality. I would actually make it look like old time Carolina and have more craft shops and more regional type food. Set up some photo spots depicting the old school Carolina (move the old time photo to that area). but other than that I dont know what else can be done to the area (instead of adding a classic flat or two
)
County fair, well I would keep the same theming, however I would give it that fair feeling. I would string up some clear C-9 bulbs (hey you can get them from Disney's Animal kingdom, its not like they are open at night to use them anyway :rolleyes: ) Ok this is one of those areas that I would have to add some rides to. I would eliminate the stand alone type games and kinda combine them in like 2 sets of 3 games and keep 2 stand alone games that you have to shoot the water. I would add a classic style ride-thru haunted house and possibly a walk-thru fun house. Repaint Thunder Road
and have the chaser lights thru the whole ride. Again add some fun picture spots in the area and actually serve food like elephant ears, foot long corn dogs, candy apples, and polish dogs. Add like 2 classic flats (I would prefer a zipper but man o man the capacity).
Now on to water works. Like max said I would move it into WW and probably give it a new paint job and theme. I would add one of those wave loch things (for the surfer in you
). but first I would modify the changing area. That place is sooo humid and not all that great at some times. I would highten its capacity and add more ventilation. Add like 2 more slide complex and a splash zone or 2. I dont know how well this will work out but hold volley ball tournaments throughout the summer and possibly have some type of show (like the beach thingy review) there.
I would leave Carolina boardwalk pratically the way it is now. It has great potiential but I would infact repaint CC to more a blueish color and do away with cyber sex...err I mean sez and probably add a small flat (probably a wipeout or disk-o)
Thrill Zone, Well im not even gonna touch that! (this is already long as it is lol lol
) But I will say "They're creepy and they're spooky, mysterious and cooky......."
I would actually combine Paramount's Plaza and Carolina Showplace and just make it Paramount's Plaza. In that section I would build replica houses or icon places from the shows and movies (well not the full house but you know, just the facade) for photo ops. Enclose the scrambler and theme it to some suspense or horror movie. Put a top quality show in the theater. Keep vortex the way it is, but maybe, maybe change the name.
Overall in the park I would enclose all the stations and virtually all of the que lines (seems like, to me, it would make the park look less busy and neater). I would also have uniforms reflecting the area you work in. Each month I would try to have some special event at the park. and the biggest of them all have more advertising! The only commetcial I saw was at the end of the bojangles commercial was the clip from the b-roll, and im in columbia.
Well thats all for now. It may seem like much but in the end its all worth it!
