Even though it would be cool if we got somthing like SOB, I would hate carowinds forever for getting rid of Hurler and Cyclone.

If the restraints weren't safe, they wouldn't be operating the ride.

I personally enjoy Frenzoid, but I know of a lot of people who won't ride it because it looks "terrifying." Add that to the fact that, like most of you have said, it is hidden behind the Dodgems and White Water Falls and it creates really low ridership. County Fair is definitely due for a makeover...just as much as Wayne's World or Thrill Zone or whatever it is needs one. If/when they revamp the area, I don't see the games going anywhere. I worked as a manager in games for a long time, most of it spent in County Fair, and suprisingly enough those games are a major cash cow. Top Glow right in front of Thunder Road would pull in around 4 to 5 grand on a Sat., and that was almost four years ago - and that is just one game.

Anyway, I would hate to see Carowinds remove Frenzoid, but don't put it past them. My precious Whirling Dirvish is now but a distant memory... :(

Location isn't the cause, it is the fact that the ride is borning, and painful. Carowinds could put the ride in the middle of BORG Island, and no one would ride it. The boat itself hasn't been repainted, and is the only ride in the park next to Top Gun that hasn't been. Hint-hint: Frenzoid's days are numbered, it will be a "ghost" soon enough.

^Its because of people like you that frenzoid's days are numbered. I personally ride Frenzoid whenever its open.

and btw, why is it called Frenzoid?

I ride Frenzoid too but I also tell my opinion without candy-coating. Frenzoid is a borning ride and no longer can pay for itself. The ride's paint is peeling and it is an eyesore just like the Sternwheeler had become. I know there is people who love it.

Looks like and are, are two very different things! I personally think they should tear down Frenzoid.......sure they could do things to make it more accessable, but the restraints hurt, and it's not scary or adrenaline pumping at all. Or atleast I didn't fine it to be. I was so excited to ride Frenzoid last summer, people in my family had said is was scary and crazy. Then I rode and was like....what the freak were they scared of?

Bottom line is it's boring and uncomfortable, and the land could be put to much better use!

I like frenzoid alot but it is taking too much of space That area back there is to large for that ride. I would like to see it relocated. :D

And I'm the only person I know who actually enjoyed Son of Beast

No. I loved Son of Beast, from the front anyway.

Leave Frenzoid alone. I'm sure after they redo that section of the park it will have more quests riding. Being tucked away in the back like it is makes alot of people go past it. It would help if they gave you a little longer ride time tho.

There are two parts to the name. Frenz- stemming from frenzied or frenzy, which is explained as being "a temporary madness; a violent mental or emotional agitation." -Oid is a suffix which means 'like' or 'resembling'. So, the ride is like temporary madness, in a sense.

And they expected me to figure that out why???

What does it have to do with the pirate theme? They should have just renamed the ride the "The Flying Dutchman's Revenge" instead of using the name in nick central.
