General Carowinds discussion

I know we would all love a record breaking coaster (500 ft tall, 45 sec of airtime, etc...)... But as a dad with 5 kids do you think this coaster will aim more family friendly? 48” height requirement (instead of 50-54”). Since Mack already did Ricochet as a family ride, what are the chances of a bigger family ride?
I still think it will be great, but being where it is (near-ish the exit of Snoopy) and along with the whole hotel thing - it would make some sense to have a family friendly ride. Thoughts?

With the way Cedar fair is bringing Carowinds, I think that is highly unlikely.

Cheetah Hunt is considered family friendly . . .

To be clear - I am not saying a kiddie ride, just rideable by kid/parent. The best 48” Ride currently at Carowinds is prob cyclone. All the biggest coasters are 54”. I don’t know to much about parks all over, so I was just curious if 54” is standard for “real” coasters or if 48-52” are found a lot elsewhere (For instance, Time Traveller is listed as 51” ... which is a weird height).

... Or that is evidence of this being the crowning jewel of the family section they are finishing

Theoretically speaking it is two but technically it's only one. And when I say done, I mean as far as expansions go.

This isn’t the crown jewel of camp snoopy. It’s not close to it. It’s close to several thrill rides tho...

I’ll go on record saying this is not intended to be a family ride the way you want it to be...

I could be wrong but I’m thinking it may be some kind of a record breaking coaster.

That would be great! Just dreaming but how about the tallest and fastest launch coaster in the US or maybe even the world. HA! It’s nice to dream.

The Carolina Cyclone, Flying Cobras, Carolina Goldrusher, and Hurler are thrill ride (coasters) with a 48' height requirement. However, Gold rusher is more of a family coaster that is stuck with the 48' height requirement. With all the recent consistent additions, this park is well rounded now as far as family offerings. Camp Snoopy and County Fair are excellent additions. With the return of the Gliders, and this new coaster in 2019 , I believe we are doing quite well. In other words, this park is well rounded with the height requirement offerings . Up until last year, our flat rides sucked. I will forever be grateful for the 2017 and 2018 additions. Even in 2016. The Carolina Harbor rebrand/expansion and Plants vs. Zombies additions helped out even the more. So now, 2019 will just complete the lineup for sure until the next newer attraction is added down the road.
