Are you imagining the show to be in the lagoon? If so, they could do a second show with jet skis or water skiing at times throughout the year? I know Tega Cay has a group that water skis, so giving them some performance time inside the park would be neat. The only difficulty would be getting boats into the water without disrupting the flow of guests (no "backstage" access to that area).

The show does take place over the lagoon, but it's a bit cramped with the other attractions in it/next to it. You'd have to expand the lagoon/take out some of the attractions next to it in order to do a show involving jetskis.

Of course, none of this is actually happening so it can be whatever you want.

I'm completely on board with this RRR idea, actually. I think we could use another new, highly-themed area that provides an alternate pathway to Fury. I like how the ride relocations would also open up space in Camp Snoopy and Crossroads for future rides (and hopefully a more interesting/cohesive retheme of Crossroads itself).

I'm still hoping we get that Dinosaurs Alive GCI, though, especially if we decided to replace RRR with a new area instead of a new coaster. A good wooden coaster is the last major gap in our lineup, as has been said.

I like the concept in theory. Obviously, there's no way a water feature in that are of the park would be nearly big enough for a ski show as one suggested, but I like the lagoon idea. A water fountain show would be cool with lights and such.

It would also be a good view from the "second story" of your restaurant as well. Maybe have outdoor seating on a "porch" over the walkway on that side for those days that it's NOT blistering outside or for seating in the evenings.

There's also room enough there for another attraction on the Fury side of the path.

it'd be super cool if we got one of those "roller coaster restraunts"

I know they have some in europe but we need one here

Continuing with Cedar Fair's new long term strategy of bringing interactive and immersive family attractions to the parks, I was wondering how the park could bring in a Disney or Universal-level E-Ticket dark ride without breaking the bank. And then it hit me: you remove the ride.

This next concept would be a way to bring the never-realized mine ride concept from the park's past into the future, only this time, as a special-effects walkthrough attraction similar Temple del Fuego at Port Aventura, or Poseidon's Fury at Islands of Adventure.

I don't really have a story idea for this one, but as far as the attraction goes, it would be themed to a haunted mine. The entrance would take over this side of the Chickie's and Pete's building, which is AFAIK is currently used as the quickstop version of the restaurant:

The queue would go around Cyclone's lifthill turn, and eventually into a large, 50 foot showbuilding. The facade would not have to be extremely detailed due to the attraction being themed to a mine. Just a rusty paint job and some shattered windows would make it believable.

Once inside the building, guests would enter an mine shaft-themed elevator that would take them to the top floor, though the illusion would be similar to Gringotts in that guests would think they had been taken several stories underground. The walkthrough would have a tour guide, and the tour would take them through about 5-6 show scenes.
There would be an elevation change of around 15-20 feet, so it would never actually be at ground level (though one of the ideas I had for a show scene would be a giant cavern that guests enter near the top of, with the height spanning the entire building's height. Think of the "Glory Hole” on Calico Mine Ride).
The finale would involve an explosion using lighting and fog effects. Guests would make it to the other elevator shaft just in time, before being hoisted up (down) back to the surface.

This attraction would be heavily-themed, able to operate year-round, and if most of the effects were media-based, the park could easily add overlays to make it more intense during SCarowinds, or more family-friendly during Winterfest. It's versatile in that it could be an escape from the heat, rain, storms, or cold weather. Also, since the attraction doesn't take place at the ground level, part of the building could be used as a storage bay for the offseason. On top of all this, this attraction would give the park an excuse to retheme Carolina Boardwalk back to Frontier Outpost, as an old mining town.

I really like the idea. The location , however, is not the best.

What if, we took that original building that already exists, and turned into a small dark ride/drop tower like tower of terror at WDW?

Take the mineshaft idea and boom you got a good ride!

Maybe some of you could elaborate on this, i really don't think my idea really works since that building is really small

yeah so my idea doesn't work. however, we could relocate that showbuilding. since it would seem like an eyesore sitting next to cyclone's lift, we could get rid of the outdoor seating and restraunt and place the showbuilding there
