I can't remember if I posted this before, but I'd love to see the park take Peanuts Pirates out of Camp Snoopy and upgrade it similar to Kolumbus Jolle at Europa Park:





You could relocate Dodg'ems and place Pirates under its structure. Then boom- new mini-dark ride.

Maybe you could add a soundtrack to it, pirate themed with some of the peanuts characters saying some cool lines and I think you might have one of the best kiddie rides in the cedar fair chain.

I am not convinced that the Dodgems building is tall enough for that plus isn’t there a central support in the middle of the structure?

Yeah, it’d probably have to be redesigned entirely, and at that point, they may as well just build a new building. Maybe build it on top of Yo-Yo’s plot instead?

Looking towards DinoAlive leaving there is a niche for it being a “small pay, interactive walkthrough, non-ride” that will be gone soon... Sooooo

What about a multistory indoor interactive facility? I was at Discovery place in uptown and they charge a ton for their entrance fee. There stuff is all science/building blocks/interactive (which is awesome, and kind of like the sand pit dig in dino currently but on hyperdrive) but I would be curious about a 2-4 story building with similar interactive things. It would appeal big time to school groups and families and the like. It would also appeal to the non-thrill riders. If multistory you would have another climate controlled space without leaving a giant footprint. Similar admission setup to Dino’s.
1) Is there anything like this anywhere inside an amusement park?
2) Would staffing be the biggest concern?

If (and only if) something like that were to be put in, I'd see it being outside the gate where it can operate independently year-round, maybe adjacent to the hotel. That seems like way too much for an attraction inside the park.

there's a similar place in Greenville, SC called Children's Museum of the Upstate. It honestly is a great place for kids, but to put something similar at Carowinds would just seem out of place. It's a tame place for education and learning, which certainly wouldn't fit at a place full of loud, intense thrill rides.

Seeing how Cedar Fair is bringing Grand Carnivale to three of their parks, I was thinking about how Carowinds could edit one of its events, namely Great Carolina Fest. The idea I came up with is a parade. This is the path it would follow:

It would start near the maintenance road by Stateline Designs, go through the middle of Celebration Plaza, and exit near the bathroom at the entrance of Camp Snoopy. To widen the pathways. both Auntie Anne's and the 3 Point Challenge would be relocated, and some of the planters would be resized.

As far as the actual content of the parade goes, it could utilize some of the park's original characters (Granny, the Mayor, the Deputy, etc.), as well as the Peanuts characters. It could also introduce some new characters, such as Pirates, the Wright Brothers, and other important people/cultural things as a celebration of Carowinds and the Carolinas. This parade path could also be used for Winterfest for a Christmas-themed parade.

It would be great to have the parade but when the park is super busy there is not enough space for the parade and the general public to walk around. When they did the nickelodeon parade it was a nightmare. Just not enough room for people

Since you mentioned Great Carolina Fest, I’ve heard from some people it won’t be returning this season. Not sure if there will be another food focused event but they still have a lot of shows planned this season.

Speaking of the 3 Point Challenge, is it a requirement of the guy on the microphone that he has to repeat everything ... everything? "There you go, there you go." "Gimme two points, two points." On and on.

My newest concept is Country Falls State Park.

This new land takes over Dinosaurs Alive, and is partially inspired by Grizzly Peak at DCA. The time period is the 1980's, and the story/theme is that you're taking a family trip to one of the Carolinas' newest state parks. Country Falls State Park is especially noteworthy for its Whitewater Falls, some of the most powerful cascades in the country.



There's a new set of bathrooms down a pathway to the left of Afterburn's entrance:



And a little farther down, there's a new dining location called Peak Pretzels. If you've ever been to Twisted Tails at BGT, or German Pretzels and Beer at BGW, it's the same concept. Freshly-made gourmet pretzels, taps from local breweries, and outdoor shaded seating where you can watch the falls while you eat.



But of course, there's the land's signature attraction. If you have been following my posts on the RCT World/Planet Coaster thread, you already know what it is. But for those of you that haven't, allow me to introduce you to...

PEREGRINE PLUNGE



Standing at a staggering 223 feet, Peregrine Plunge sends riders plummeting down a 240 foot drop, hitting speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour, over the course of more than 3,700 feet of track making it the world's longest dive coaster.



But the first drop isn't the only trick up it's sleeve. Peregrine Plunge careens past a waterfall, and into a set of brakes for its second drop. But you're not dropping right-side up:



Peregrine Plunge features the only wing-over drop on a dive coaster, and it sends riders back into a tunnel under the falls. Riders soar out of the tunnel into a zero-g roll, over an airtime hill, and finally into a helix and splashdown finale:



Onlooking guests can stand right next to the splashdown to cool off on those scorching Carolina summer days.

Now the disclaimer, and I know I should have put it first, but: as the ride currently is, it would not fit. I scaled the immelmann too large and it pushed the coaster out past Afterburn, when it should fit within Dinosaurs Alive + Dinostore and the bathroom. But really, it's more of a blue-sky concept than something that was meant to be perfectly accurate. With the addition of Copperhead Strike, this section feels like something Cedar Fair could achieve, even if it's not on this scale.

Real great concept and I like the mountain/falls theme to it. The name for that dive coaster sounds like a water slide tho, maybe theme it to something with cherokees?! That’s something I’d wanted to see at the park for a while
