General Carowinds discussion

Wow...I guest top burn, as well as Millennium Force are old coasters. No need to worry about them, right? Those "old" coasters get people in the gate, sometimes arguably better than some of these "new" coasters...

Heresy!! Apollo's Chariot is ranked every year in the top 5 steel coasters in America and is my favorite by far. The airtime on it feels AMAZING.

I don't really care if coasters are old ill ride anything! i am not saying that just because a coaster is old, doesn't meen its not a good coaster. Like Beast at kings island is like 30- 35 years old and its still a great coaster! :D

My favorite steel coaster is Magnum which just turned 20 years old this past season.

My Favorite wood coaster is Screeching Eagle which was built in 1927 at Moxihala Park (and rebuilt/moved in 1934) and has sadly been standing still at Lesourdsville Lake/Americana in Ohio since 2002.

A long shot I realize but I was just wondering if whoever started the viral "White Lightning office packet photo" would like to fess up and cast their transgression into the sin box  . Not to be grilled or anything (all in good fun) but more so to be patted on the back for giving us something to talk about for two months leading up to the release of the actual theme.

The answer to that question is pretty easy to figure out for a few reasons.
1)It appears to be staged.
2)There are folders marked "Nick Central", the folder labels appear to be written by two different people.
3)There is a copy of a blueprint.
4)It is dated the day before Coaster Stock
5)"White Lightning" is spelled differently from "White Lightnin' ", which leads me to believe that it was someone that wasn't around Carowinds in the 70s or 80s.

Clearly, it is a image sent out by the marketing dept to mess with fans minds.

Just curious about everyone's thought on this. When the trains arrive and the testing begins, will carowinds do all the tests at night or during the day? I think if i remember right cobra was tested during the day, but i know rip rocket at universal did most of their testing at night.
I personally hope it's during the day so we can see it on the web cam.

it was already noted that it was infact staged by the pr dept at carowinds due to all the talk about white lightning striking twice. If my memory serves me correct it also had something to do with the whole moonshine water ride coming to cedar point too..
