I'm still going with what I said before. This is only slightly over seven acres (and the "SEVEN ACRES" statement is probably a rounded figure and not exact anyway.)

I don't really care. As long as they continue expanding the theming and make it look like you move from one area to another, I'll be happy. I want Carowinds to become a "Theme Park" again and not just an "Amusement Park". I love the renderings of Copperhead Strike. Keep it up, Carowinds.

^^^^ I agree, the entry to the "area" could be where county fair, the old area started. Really hope boo blasters is included and get a re-theme eventually. There is a lot of possibilities with this and I do agree that "7 acres" can definitely be more than 7 acres and is a round figure, or even less than 7 and rounded up. Just dont think that the ENTIRE coaster is included in this 7 acre calculation, but I have no idea. As long as the area is nicely themed, I am happy no matter where it is and I hop the new area is as nice as the renderings, only with pavers and not asphalt, which I was told it will be pavers.

So this is where we were at five months at the start of the season. Just over six months until it’ll (hopefully) be ready to open. Trackwork will probably zoom along.

Yea looks like its still being worked on, they poured some of it on Sept 5th. I just happened to see the truck on the cam haha. Glad they are working on it and makeing progress.

The sign on the side of the theater is a giant copperhead strike advertisement now. Dont think they will take the teasers off the construction walls, I thought maybe they would have done that before the announcement. I think they will keep them up and just use the ads around the park, there in various places...
