I was also wondering, anyone that went to C3, did anyone happen to ask for the heights of the loops or anything? I know the top hat inversion is 82ft, was just curious about the loops, doesn't really matter but curious. Lisa was unsure....

(Country) Crossroads and Blue Ridge Junction seem to be redundant themes. They both seem to be rural. Blue Ridge Junction could have been a mountain theme, but they are building a coaster on a rural farm instead of a mountain........

The original county fair is still enough area for yet another theme. I vote it should become Pirate Island since the pirate ship is there. Then take the Carolina Boardwalk back to Frontier Outpost since the high majority of that area still looks like Frontier Outpost anyhow with some boardwalk decorations on top the original buildings.....

Is Crossroads supposed to be a theme? To me it's always just an area on a map, to reference when giving someone directions.

I don't think of it as a theme. Carowinds seems to be theming things up so I'm hoping that "Crossroads" goes away. I'm good with the whole area being Blue Ridge Junction.

A junction is a crossroads, or a junction describes a crossroads. Having both names in one park is redundant

Not necessarily true. A junction is where three roads come together (like a 'Y') where crossroads is two (like an 'X').

I always thought of a railroad when I hear the word "junction," which Carowinds desperately needs.

Crossroads comes from the original Country Crossroads (which is a great name) and most of those buildings in that area are original Carowinds buildings, with rural theming. Chicken Kitchen, the candy store/mill, the souvenir barn, the covered bridge, even old Harmony Hall are rural themed. The school house has been greatly modified but it still works as a rural theme building. With those buildings in the area, Crossroads is still a rural theme. I think its fine to keep it standing as is, especially since it is an original themed area of the park.

Even with all of this "analysis" lol I am just estactic that Carowinds is once again focusing on Carolina theming and paying attention to their themed areas. Blue Ridge Junction and the new County Fair will/have really made mundane areas of the park something special. Hopefully the old county fair will be next!

Clarification: Carowinds desperately needs a steam railroad like the C & C Railroad that it had when it opened.

The snoopy railroad is just pitiful. It has been massively shortened from it original layout as the Short Line Railroad running through trees and under the log flume to a circle that is so short it makes two passes around it, featuring weeds as landscaping.

Eh, you can get from one side of the park to the other in under 15 minutes, so it’s not something the park necessarily needs. That and transportation rides are high cost, low profit/marketability, so it’s not likely we’ll see the return of the steam engine.
