Going by this thread, I should sue carowinds because of chronic upper back pain and whiplash...

I was mainly talking about the flyers... B) I'm perfectly glad to have upper back pain and whiplash... :P

My last back seat ride on the Pavilion Hurricane (Oct. 03) practically cracked my spine. I am really disappointed in the fact that the Pavilion has not properly maintained this ride. I use to really love it. I am surprised that no one has sued the Pavilion yet. I've heard other people complain much louder than I.

Amen to that Swampfox. I hated seeing her sit there unused for soo long, then I went there every single day for lunch and parked in the parking lot and watched her get rebuilt. And, I was one of the first, not the first but one of them, that got to ride it once it opened back up.

Ohh, the stories I could tell of living in M.B. for 20yrs and the parks that were / are there. :o

I probably rode with you Foreseer. I was there opening weekend, Easter 1992. I wrote an article for ACE NEWS back in February '92 about the rebuilding. Walked that entire ride. It was so cool since I had never done anything like that before. John Hind, the man responsible for rebuilding the SF, invited me back opening weekend. It was great to be back on this coaster as this was my first major coaster in 1969. Very sentimental.

^ Speaking of Swamp Fox it was funny riding Cannon Ball this year for the first time, I was like... this is Swamp Fox! lol. They seem to be very similar in disign.

I was reading an interestingarticle on my way to Mexico about John Allen and how most of his first disigns were kind of simple and short layouts and most were kind of "clones" of each other.

Cannon Ball really does make me think of Swamp Fox in a lot of ways. It may be short, but it still packs a bunch that only a classic like that can!

Last year SF was running great and lots of pops of air time too.
