Dude what are you talking about?

No pics were taken on the ride.

Now on to me. My favorite subject.

It was very cold, but thankfully I had a hoodie and gloves on and it wasn't too bad cold on the ride.

I'm working up a story for Thrill Network and will post it here when I'm done.

Congrats Ken on getting in the story. That's really cool. :D

Calm down Roller whatever you call yourself Nut. I did not see any onride pics buddy? Maybe you need to just worry about other things and not minor things such as things that do not even involve you.

If you read the quote it said:
There is an onboard <a href='http://www.charlotte.com/multimedia/charlotte/KRT_packages/archive/mmpage/misc/thunder2.html' target='_blank'>video</a> posted online from the Charlotte Observer showing twin boys riding Thunder Road at todays event.

The onride video was taken by the Charlotte Observer, not one of us.

*restraining self from making a comment or two*

Back to TR, I was actually on the final ride of the day! Woot! They actually ended up doing 31 cycles (one to grow on I guess) and I was on that final train in the front seat. :)

Channel 3 (CBS) had a blurb about it on 5:30, I was sitting behind these ladies they intereviewed, but of course you couldn't see me. :( Ahhh... I missed my 15 minutes.

If the park wants to allow the media to take onride video, that's well within their rights.

It's called a media event for a reason.

True, Lets not forget my on-ride on Top Gun that the Discovery Channel did in 2004.

RollerNut wrote: The rule is there as a safety precaution, we aren't supposed to make exceptions. Media or not, it is a rule for safety. I don't make exceptions.

I guess they forgot to tell the guy in <a href='http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7753802823' target='_blank'>this</a> photo. Look at the guy in the middle of the train on the left side.

Of course, this was taken on Thunder Road's media day in 1976, but that big ole camera is clearly visible....

Besides NUT, I am sure the media had full approval to film on the ride. I hope you are never in a position to make that decision for the media. :(

It is great that you do not make exception there Nut, but where you there today? I could almost see you telling the Media that they could not do onride vids when the PARK itself allowed them to do it. Your power is not as great as you think it is.

Maybe someone needs to find a clue since their clue meter is empty at present.

Here's my story with a few pictures (look for the links in the story).

Enjoy. And Max, just chill. I know how you feel about TN. lol

I'm glad you all had a good time. I was on my way to the park when work called and told me my "partner" had called in sick so needless to say I took a right on 77 instead of a left.

People at work were telling me about what they had seen / heard and mentioned some "old guy" in the news. Sorry but I could only think of the infamous swampfox himself. Good going sir !!

As a side note for Rollernut, please take out that dried up corn-cob you've been sitting on for a while. The last time I was told you are just an employee and not a Media event sponsor. Let's see, you work the Hurler correct? Hmm....

That info is top secret. If I tell that then everyone will want a ride with Max. ;)

Hmmm... whatever could I mean.

By the way, that was way scarier than any coaster I've been on! :o
