Why would they take out a second water ride for a hyper when they could hop and skip over it like Kings Island did with Diamondback over the train. There is pently of space behind Log Flume for a new coaster. Even without removing the picnic area, but if Max says it, I believe it.

You won't find any "text" anywhere on anything until you see an official press release. If the log flume does go, I think its just going to vanish slowly. Don't expect to see a press release on the removal of the flume if it does go.

Usually, the only time you'll see me say anything, about any kind of project going on at the park on the boards, is when I'm given an okay to post something. I'm just not going to come on here and spout off something and ruin any good relations that I have with the park and the people who work there. Don't want to bite the hands that feed me...so to speak.

Yeah, there are times that I might have "inside" info. And that's why they call it inside, I'm usually keeping it inside.

But, there times that I do make a very coy comment or two....

The thing about Plaza 2 is that for two years, we were suppose to have been in the particular location for lunch. Both times its gotten changed and were stuck up at the front. The EPT was probably a reference to Exclusive Plyer Time, which will never happen again.

Don't let screamscape see this or they mightreport it as news...

Allow me to drop afew cents into this if I might. I want to answer Foghorn question that has not been addressed but I think should be. You need to know that Wes was a guest of the park doing a story on their Scarowinds Event. And please correct me if I am wrong Wes but it is about putting you in costume to experience what working at a Halloween Event is like. So there is a great chance that during his stay there that he was told that and that is why you will not find it anywhere in print on the Net. I would tend to sorta take Wes for what he was told and take a wait and see with the Log Flume.

Yep, that's the case. Since the park does actually read these boards I've been told, I won't say who told me this info but it ain't the dippin dots guy.

And normally I try not to say anything on here unless it's at least credible. And if Max is confirming part of it, then he's probably hearing the same stuff I did.

That being said. I'm not saying I know what is coming in 2010. This person didn't either. They were just saying they heard the flume was going and that the woods would no longer be used for SCarowinds. Take it for what it's worth. It's a rumor.

Oh and side note. I decided not to do the costume thing myself, but you'll see what I did with the story (as soon as I get it up this week hopefully). I think you will maybe appreciate it since you're a big Halloween fan.

I noticed that Carowinds has tombstones for some of the removed rides. However, someone needs to tell Carowinds that Black Widow was removed after the 1988, replaced by Cimema 180 in 1989. Also, Flying Dutchman was removed in 1984 not 1976, it was replaced by Blackbeard's Revenge in 1985. It seems they got Flying Dutchman confused with Surfer, which was removed after the 1976 season for relocation of Witchdocter(Black Widow) after the installation of White Lightnin'.

Would a hyper really fit in that area of land??? I can almost see why CF would get rid of the water rides because they feel that Carowinds has such a great water park, that just a couple of water rides is all thats needed! I kinda agree and disagree with my assumption, but I guess we will see next year if the Flume is there or not?
