My predicition for 2005: Boomerang Bay and (maybe) Delerium.

They didn't change the 3-D theatre show this year. How much longer can Sponge Bob go?

but not in the later season as was said earlier.

I still see the possability of both of them being removed for either different attractions or Boomerang Bay.

Hard to think of what Paramount might do for next year. With the surveys they offer, and what goes on at thier other parks it's hard to say.

First of all, the only building between Vortex and the waterpark that I know of that has been taken out is the arcade near FSS. It used to have the movies on the wall and you would sit on the floor and watch. Almost a first generation Action FX theater.

Second, why would Carowinds get rid of Rip Roarin' Rapids? That is by far one of the most popular rides at the park. It is the only ride at the park, that I know of, that can have a 2 - 3 hour wait. I don't see the park ditching that ride anytime soon.

Third, the comment about the open fields as you drive into the park...I don't think Carowinds owns all that, but if they do, a very plausable idea for the future would be to make those fields more parking, and then extend the park that much further into the existing parking lot now. IF, and I stress if, Carowinds ever did decide to extend the park into the parking lot, the first spot I see going is the parking lot from Top Gun all the way along the side of Thunder Road.

hmm...let me think.... BECAUSE IT STINKS! you don't get wet, the water is dirty(well, that's what i hear anyway,i don't pay attention), it just an EXTREMLEY dissapointing ride. it was good until the decided to take the cave out, that's the only part i EVER got wet on,and ever since they took it out only my shoed have gotten wet.

Trev32, just because you think it stinks does not rationalize why they should/would take it out. I can honestly say that I still get pretty dang wet on the ride. For you to say that only your shoes get wet is insane. I can't tell you how many times my wallet has gotten soaked from water splashing over the sides of the raft onto my lap.

As far as the water goes, it's no more dirty than the water on any of the other water rides. Still no rational reason or explanation as to why you would take out one of the more popular rides at the park.

I will agree with the cave badly being missed. RRR desperatly needs some theming to it. I would love for PC to stick with the regional theme and theme it to the NC mountains.

3 hour waits lead me to believe otherwise, trev. Granted, it has a lower hourly capacity than a lot of other rides, but despite having a sign that says "2 hours from this point" people still get in line for it.

And the reason the cave was taken out was because it collapsed in the off season a few years ago. They just removed the rest of the cave - once again, they have no need to rebuild the cave. I agree, I thought that was the best part of the ride and I truly want them to rebuild it, but from Carowinds standpoint I can see why they haven't.

It really wouldnt be a good idea to take it out anyway since the park hasnt got to many family rides . Well unless you count some of the kid rides.

I have never noticed the water being dirty. I wouldn't take it out either, but I would add more guns that the spectators control. They have the at BGTB. Has anyone ever ridden Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges at IOA? Wouldn't something like that be awesome?

I agree I've never seen the water dirty either! I love riding Rip Roaring Rapids! I do think it needs retheming though! I checked out Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges and it is awesome! The theming is great!

The adding of more water guns along the way would be great also! Just trying to think of a good Paramount Movie to theme it after would be, though!

Here's a page that has a small movie clip of Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges in action on it!

You know that would kind of make sence. Look at top gun and raptor.
