Is it somewhat ironic that orange and yellow were the same colors used on Planet Snoopy coaster.

Do you think it was cheaper to paint it the same colors as the other coaster. That way they could order the masses for that particular color palette.

Ive thought about it and Vortex would look great with black supports blue rails and green track well maybe not blue rails but something that stands out.

Left over paint? lol are you under the delusion that Carowinds staff paints their own rides and keeps all the paint in a shed? They hire professional painters to do this whom I'm sure have what ever color paint CF wants readily available.

It is an outside company but I'd hardly call them professional. When you leave millions of multi-colored dots all over the park I would never call that professional. Hello drop cloth!

It looks like Vortex will be repainted this year.

"Today we are excited to announce the Vortex is getting a make-over! Make sure you take a look at this rides new look in the coming season! Pictures coming soon!"

I've heard rumors that there painting it green.

^^^ keyword in that post is RUMORS. Dont count on it being green, that wouldnt make since with the current color it is and the new color of the station? Think about it? Why would they paint it green with a gold/burgundy station I cant wait to see what it looks like. I may have to go up to the park soon and see if I can get any shots of it in the new color scheme. I hope afterburn got some paint as well...

I exchanged some tweets with @carowindsPR today and they haven't started painting Vortex yet. They (probably she) said they will post some pictures on Facebook when the painting begins.

I am going to try to stop by Carowinds Saturday before the Bobcats game if i see any new paint on vortex i will take some pictures and post them i don't think they have done anything yet.
