Oh trust me. I have much better things to do than get in an argument about Windseeker over the internet.

Everytime I have rode, people have screamed.... maybe I just had odd luck? I enjoy windseeker, honestly, its relaxing. Sure it isnt the most intense ride etc. but can I say it was a horrible decision? No. I just like the height I suppose. Would I have gotten the Sky Screamer version instead of thise one, probaly so, or perhaps a different style ride but overall there is always a line for the ride, which moves fast, and its still a fun ride, especially at night. I hope it doesnt become a maintenance nightmare, but hey look at nighthawk its still around.... Oh well I just hope they resolve all the problems... soon...

I don't think it will become a mechanical nightmare since for the most part, it is running. It is just when it has these malfunctions that make national headlines. They will find some sort of solution onto how to get riders down safely when it does break down at the top.

Well by for the most part I mean about 95% of the time I have been to Carowinds, it has been running. The other 5% was due to weather related delays.

i went to carowinds this year a couple weeks after opening weekend, I was in line and as windseeker was coming down about 50ft up it stopped, stayed their for about 20-30mins then came all the way down and then the harnesses wouldnt unlock for another 10-15mins I went on right after they tested it a couple times and it was fine ( it was my first time on windseeker too!) does anybody think this has anything to do with whats been going on recently???

It is possible that is connected with the problems involved with Windseeker. However I have never heard any cases of the harnesses being unable to unlock.

They always get riders down safely. That's not the issue. The issue is that it takes 3+ hours to do it.

they had to manually unlock them which is when they got to all the carts, plug this little machine in and the harnesses pop open

The Sky Screamer version of this ride at Six Flags parks is scarier because it it more of a super tall chain-swing ride. And I think they are looking to build one as tall as Windseeker. And their's hasn't been breaking down. Supposedly Cedar Fair considered this version first, but changed their mind and went with Mondial. IIRC, there may have even been a threatened lawsuit. But while Sky Screamer may be scarier, the Windseeker is more relaxing, other than the height.
