Now THAT's one of THE BEST ideas I've read. It would serve several purposes. A place to sit and enjoy a breeze. A way to get from point A to point B. A way to look around the park to see what rides are looking available. A way to just see the sights.
They dont have a large footprint and the stations are relatively small. I love the idea of a continuously moving ride within the station. Lets have at least 2 or 3 "stations" throughout the park. Begin in Carowinds Plaza, maybe County Fair, maybe Thrill Zone.... definitely Boomerang Bay. In this day of computer technology, you could have the rider determine if they want to leave at the next station. If not, have a button on the ride that would signal it to continue on and not merge into the station. Of course, to ensure fairness, you could have the ride automatically pull into the beginning station if the riders elected to go all the way around and not to pull into any of the other stations. (If you enter a station, you must get off.) Again, a computer can control demand. A computer could make sure every station had an empty car available either from a siding or have indicators at another station for the employees to let an empty car through for that purpose. I don't know. So many possibilities. I love the idea!!!!!!!
