Why do you say I have never raced? Trust me, I have a feeling I have been involved in more races here than you or anyone on this board. Now I'm not trying to commit a falicy statement by saying that, it's just I have been involved with it for years. I know the thrill and excitment, esp. when you win. But racing coasters? Come on. I'm not saying I don't like it. But I mean the excitment you get when you "win" a race on Thunder Road doesn't nearly match what you get if you do it by yourself i.e...in track or motor sports. marathon or whatever. So please, do not make falicy by saying I have never raced because you are certainly wrong about that.
Sorry CMT, I was not trying to imply YOU have never raced. Did not mean to come off that way and you probably have raced alot more than me for sure.
What I was trying to say is that in the last 4 years of riding Thunder Road at least 6 times bi-weekly I can count on 2 fingers how many times I've raced.
The excitement of racing is mainly going up the hill teasing the other train and going down the first half of the track neck to neck and looking at everyone’s faces.
Not everyone cares if we race or not and I understand that but the history of Thunder Road is that of racing. It just adds a bit more excitement to the ride.
I have
never been to King's Island or King's Dominion and not raced on their versions which is why it ticks me off Carowinds just can't seem to do it every time. I see it race when I am on Top Gun or in line but never when I sit down.
